A charming 19-year-old finalist was able to surpass only Colombian Pauline and American Nia. Diana was in the contest by accident, replacing Anna Andres, who could not go there for personal reasons. The finalist of the famous contest is happy to share with the press memories of her childhood, which, she said, was absolutely happy. Diana Garkusha was born in 1994, her hometown is Kharkov. The girl's parents were a basketball player and a drawing teacher. Subsequently, Diana's father left his sports career, switching to his own business.

She has been dancing since she was four years old, she loved playing sports, apparently having inherited the craving for them from the pope. In her student years, more significant victories awaited her. First, the bright girl managed to become "Miss Kharkiv", then she got the second place in the fight for the title of "Miss Ukraine". Even then the young Ukrainian achieved certain successes as a model.

Fateful competition

It's no secret that it was not Diana Garkusha who was originally supposed to represent her country in Miami. "Miss Universe - 2014" - a contest in which Anna Andres was supposed to participate from Ukraine. However, the girl refused her right for personal reasons. In Miami went "Vice-Miss Ukraine", the competitors of which were 87 beauties from different corners of the planet.

Once among the finalists, Diana was a step away from the cherished crown. Unfortunately, the girl succumbed to excitement, answering the first question received from the commission. But it was wonderful that she showed herself, telling about the difficult situation that has developed in her homeland.

Also, Garkusha impressed the jury and spectators with an unusual outfit, which appeared before the public in the final match.
