The debut of the fifth generation of the legendary Chery-Tigo off-road cars was waited for by many motorists, and finally, in October this year the company announced the imminent start of sales of new items in Russia. Thus, in a couple of months a new generation (not a restyling series) of Chinese cars "Cheri-Tigo" will be available on the domestic market. Yes, now it's completely not the Cheri-Tigo, which we are used to remember. Large headlights of the main light successfully supplement the new chrome grille with a distinct company logo. The bumper lines are slightly lapped, but in the design there are clearly visible massive lateral overhangs, which give the novelty greater aggressiveness.

Many owners of previous generations of the "Tigo" more than once recalled the difficult situation with the choice of spare parts - it was almost impossible to find them in Russia. But now, according to the company, along with the new crossovers, their components and units will be actively supplied to Russia.

By the way about dimensions. In the new look, the SUV will have the following body dimensions: a length of 450.6 centimeters, a width of 184 centimeters and a height of 174 centimeters. The wheelbase is now 261 centimeters, which is a few millimeters larger than that of its predecessors. As the developers of Cheri-Tigo say, the engine of the novelty will have several variations. Among them, the younger develops 132 horsepower of power at a volume of 2 liters. Also in the next year will be added two new units. Thus, the technical characteristics of the "Chery-Tigo" will be more dynamic due to turbodiesel engines with a volume of 1.4 and 1.6 liters. But, unfortunately, they will be available only in more expensive trim levels. The base will be a two-liter motor, running on gasoline. But this is not all technical characteristics. The Chery-Tigo will be equipped with a 5-step mechanical transmission. The manufacturer has not yet said anything about the machine, but it is possible that the automatic transmission will also be available to customers.

Cost

So, we reviewed the technical characteristics of "Cheri-Tigo", now we turn to the price. As the company claims, the novelty will cost about 16 500 US dollars. The given price is specified for a crossover in a base complete set in a home market.

Looking at such a low cost (almost 2 times less than that of competitors), we can assume that in the near future, the "Chinese" will drive out all of its competitors from the world market. But as it will be in reality, we will find out only next year after the official start of sales. And it will happen at least six months ...
