Dance with feet and its features

Practically in all dances the feet are involved. They allow you to make the movement more dynamic, and also serve to create a rhythmic pattern. A striking example of this is the Irish national dance kicks. It requires great durability and coordination from the dancers, as it is usually performed by large groups that perform synchronized movements.

Features of Irish Dance

One of the most famous collectives of Riverdance became famous due to the Irish dances. Later, his soloist Michael Fletchy left the band and started solo. He transformed the dance with his feet and added hand movements to him. Michael uses in his productions all three areas of Irish dance:

  • jig;
  • Ril;
  • hornpipe.

In Ireland, there is a special commission for dancing, which has standardized the execution of each of these areas. This dance kicked up at the end of the XVIII century, but the most popular it was only in 1994. It was then that the world learned about the show Riverdance. Performed foot traffic for national music. The show turns out very incendiary and spectacular.

In which dances more moves are performed by the feet

There are other dances that are mostly performed by the feet:

  • step;
  • Tap dance;
  • Lezginka;
  • rock'n'roll.

It can not be said that in these dances the hands are practically not used, they simply perform less bright movements. The feet perform the same mahi and basic elements, in the first two cases they beat out a clear rhythm. Actively involves the lower extremities of ballet and classical dance. In this case, the legs and steps are carried out. If they move wrong, the dance will lose its aesthetics. Correct position of the feet helps to maintain the posture.

Leg positions in classical dance

There are several basic positions that are used in ballet and classical dances. It is important to combine them with proper posture: the back is even, shoulders are lowered, and the chin is slightly raised. Before learning the movements, it is important to hone the position of the legs in the dances.

  1. The first is best known - the heels together, and the socks are diluted in the sides.
  2. In the second leg are located approximately on the width of the shoulders. The heels are on the same line, and the socks are directed in opposite directions. If properly formulated, they will also be on the same line.
  3. From the third position, dances often begin. At her heel one of the feet is located at the middle of the foot of the other, and the socks are looking in different directions.
  4. In the fourth position, one leg is moved forward (approximately one foot apart). In this case, the toe in front of the standing leg is located on the same line with the heel of the one that is behind.
  5. The fifth position is most simple - the dancer stands exactly, and his feet are next to each other, socks and heels are parallel.

These leg positions in dances are used in tango, waltz, quickstep and foxtrot. They resemble ballet, but are slightly simplified - the foot does not turn out so much.
