When crossing the border, all persons who have reached the age of 16 years are required to fill in the customs declaration. It can not be filled if the passenger does not have unaccompanied luggage, and in his personal belongings - objects that are prohibited from exporting from the country. Goods of underage tourists (under 16 years of age) are declared by one of the accompanying (parent, guardian) or leader when leaving the group.

The customs regulations of the Russian Federation in 2012 allow both import and export of cash currency (Russian and foreign) or in the form of checks with a total value of up to $ 10,000. When exceeding, the entire cash amount (not only the exceeding part) must be declared.

Goods not intended for production or use for commercial purposes can be imported duty-free. The rules of the customs permit each person who has reached the age of 18 years to import duty-free up to three liters of alcoholic beverages and 250 g of tobacco products, in unitary terms, up to 200 cigarettes (50 cigarillos or cigars). Also, personal items (including clothing, jewelry, photographic equipment, toiletries, etc.) are not taxed.

When you import goods there is a certain quantitative and cost limit, within which the payment of tax is not required. When crossing the air border, it is 10,000 euros, and the total weight is 50 kilograms. In the event that the specified limit is not exceeded by more than 200 kg or 650,000 rubles, all of the goods carried over the limit are subject to a duty at a single rate equal to 30% of its customs value (from 4 euros per kilogram). If the quantity of the imported goods exceeds the weight of 200 kg and / or has a value of more than 650 rubles, the taxation is carried out according to the rules established for international trade.

When crossing the automobile border on its own car, it is allowed to export not more than 20 liters of fuel, except for being poured into the tank. There are no restrictions on the export of alcohol and tobacco products, but it is necessary to take into account the norms for the importation of alcohol and tobacco into the territory of the country of destination.
