Creating a bootable ubuntu for beginners

It is gratifying to notice that free software is becoming more popular in our country. Who else five years ago could have thought that today a considerable part of some technically savvy population would prefer to use Ubuntu OS for daily work. However, its creators actively develop and consolidate their success, constantly adding to their offspring all new opportunities.

But what about those who want to be able to always work in their favorite system, because the laptop is not always with you? It's simple: you can create a bootable USB flash drive ubuntu, which you can always carry with you everywhere. Fortunately, that the boot from USB-carriers to date is supported by most computer hardware.

But beginners have a completely grounded lack of confidence in their abilities, especially if they did not have to do anything else like that. In fact, there is nothing special about the creation of such a flash drive. Let's look at the simplest way to write ubuntu on a USB flash drive.

So. The first thing we need is the original image of Ubuntu. It is strongly recommended to download it from the official website of the company, without using any third-party sources. Especially do not recommend using so-called "assemblies", in which their creators can include malware.

After downloading the image (in ISO format), start creating the bootable USB flash drive ubuntu. First, we'll look at this process directly from under Ubuntu itself with the Unity working environment.

To do this, enter "create a boot disk" in the search box. The system itself will find a suitable application called "usb-creator". After running it, you will need to specify the folder where the image you downloaded is located, as well as mark the necessary amount of space on the flash drive that the system will use to save settings and documents. If you have only the task of installing the system on a new computer, then you do not need to do this either.

Click on the button "create a boot disk" and wait ... After some time, the system will notify you that the creation of the bootable ubuntu flash drive was completed.

If you have the Windows OS at your disposal, you will have to download one small and useful program called Unetbootin. Download it is also preferably from the official site. The program is extremely simple and does not require installation. After launching it, you will also need to specify the path to the previously downloaded image with the system, select the flash drive on which you plan to install the system in the drop-down list, and then click on the "OK" button. Before starting, you should select the required amount of free space to store personal information.

Well, if you do not have a flash drive, then there is a CD? Well, it's even better! After all, no one canceled the creation of the ubuntu boot disk! In Ubuntu itself, you need to use the simplest Brasero program to burn the disc, whereas in Windows you can apply any program that you use (Nero, UltraISO). We recommend choosing the slowest speed when burning a disc.

As you can see, creating a bootable USB flash drive ubuntu is a very simple operation, and a beginner can easily cope with it!
