Coquette - it's beautiful and practical

As a rule, all people who are familiar with the basics of sewing and sewing know perfectly well what a coquette is. It is a decorative element, which is located at the top of the thing and can carry not only decorative function, but also practical. Often, thanks to such a detail, the thing becomes longer, more spacious, which makes it possible to hide the small flaws in the figure. There are certain rules for the location of a coquette in a particular product, but often modern designers and dressmakers neglect them, in order to create a certain effect or visually to break down the shortcomings of the figure.

A coquette is the top detail of any product, over which there can be neither a belt nor a neck. If it is sewn to a blouse, blouse or sweater, it must be placed between the shoulders. In this case, the model of the product will have an open neck and partially a decollete zone. Knitted sweaters most often feature a round coquette, since this element of decoration with knitting needles, and especially a hook, is simpler than simple. If the thing is sewn from ordinary fabric, then such a detail can be given any shape - both rounded and with straight strict lines of cut.

In products that are worn on the lower part of the body, a coquette is a detail located between the waist and hips. Often, this rule is neglected to correct the figure. For example, if a person is short, the coquette line is slightly overstated, which visually makes his legs slimmer and longer. If the height is too high, then the width of the coquette increases, which makes it possible to visually reduce the parameters. And in order to visually make the figure more slender, to hide extra pounds, this detail of clothing is built according to an oblique pattern. Such a pattern of a coquette may have an asymmetric structure, or it can be sewn with a calculation for a set.

As already mentioned above, with the help of different pattern elements it is easy to create unique designs of clothes, the main thing is to have a fantasy. Is not an exception and a coquette, the variations of which are simply inexhaustible. In addition to the fact that the classical location of this part can be changed, you can also experiment with its structure. It often happens that the coquette is just an insert that is sewn on the front of the product. In this case, the back is sewn according to the standard pattern. Even more original looks the fourth part of this decorative element. Only in one of the shelves you can sew an additional insert, decorating it with embroidery or beads. The second shelf in this case has an ordinary appearance, but the product as a whole acquires unique and very interesting features.

Finally it should be noted that when building a coquette, it is necessary to strictly take into account the parameters of the person who will wear the product. If the line of this element coincides with the place where the darts are sewn (which happens most often), then they must be "caught" on the yoke itself. Otherwise, the thing will constantly warp or bristle, which will ruin both the design and the image that you tried to create.
