Clothing of ultramarine color - refinement and nobility in every movement

In the 15th century, a coloring pigment was brought from Asia, which was called ultramarine. In translation from the Latin language, "ultramarine" means "overseas". The basis of color and its coloring origin have not yet been determined. According to some researchers, the basis of this pigment is sulfur, in the ultramarine it is in a colloidal state. Perhaps this explains the brightness of the hue. So, the ultramarine color is what? This is one of the most active and saturated shades of blue.

Ultramarine artificial and natural

For many years, natural ultramarine was the only blue paint that had such a purity of color and was unusually expensive for most ordinary people. For its production an azure stone was used - lapis lazuli, which in itself is very valuable. Later, an artificial ultramarine color was invented, quite inferior to the natural dye in its purity of blue.

In the ultramarine there are silica, lime, sulfur, water, iron, carbon dioxide and many other substances.

The actual color of the ultramarine

Color ultramarine (photos are available in the article) - very refined, intense, fresh. Such a shade identifies with constancy, intelligence, seriousness of views. He is cheerful and today quite popular, he can be found in the most diverse areas of our life, but still this color is most popular in clothes. Over the past few years, fashion designers have repeatedly turned their attention to him, releasing collections of ultramarine colors.

Fashion collections

In the early 2000s, designer collections were represented by various marine shades, among them - deep-color ultramarine outfits. It harmoniously combines with each of them - a sea urchin, French vanilla, a pink cameo, a blue tinge, a heavenly path, a green lily, a spicy clove, melons, violets.

Later (2012-2013) collections were issued, where the ultramarine was presented in a slightly different interpretation - as an ultramarine green and as an Olympic blue. No less successful than with the marine palette, in these collections the ultramarine is combined with such shades as golden honey, roasted coffee French, Tangerine tango, pink Germanic iris, green-yellow chartreuse, pink fog, titanium, smoky-lilac rhapsody. Also perfectly harmonize among themselves ultramarine blue and Olympic green. If desired, these shades can be softened with blue, light blue, coal tones and add a few contrasting elements.

Combinations of ultramarine with other shades

The clothes of ultramarine color have a very deep rich look. As already mentioned above, it will be successful to combine this shade with the native gamma - blue and blue colors, these tones will soften the saturated color with its muffledness. Perfectly harmonize the ultramarine and white colors. However, one must be careful here, since the finish image can turn out to be too cold and unapproachable. A warm complement will be accessories of warm shades, for example, it can be an orange bag, a yellow handkerchief or coral shoes. The presence of one of these elements can melt the coldness of the image. But if there are several of them, you can easily turn into a parrot and spoil such a smart shade.

Note

Products of ultramarine color are very light-resistant. The shade is resistant to alkalis, but it is absolutely unstable to acids, even weak ones. According to the research of scientists, the ultramarine is eventually destroyed. This process is called "ultramarine disease": ultramarine easily absorbs moisture from the air, condenses it in itself, under the influence of moisture, the homogeneity of the substance is destroyed, which eventually leads to a discoloration. The shade becomes non-uniform, cloudy, not so saturated and even colorless.

Ultramarine is stable, confident, intense, bold, saturated and to some extent an eccentric color. He effectively looks not only in clothes, but also in other items of the wardrobe - gloves, belts, handbags, shoes, scarves. Ultramarine color is sure to appear more than once in the collections of famous designers and as always takes a worthy place.
