GAZ-3105 - representative class from the past
The question of changing the fleet for the leaders of the Union rose to the beginning of the 90s of the last century. "Seagull" at that time morally obsolete, so it was decided to adopt the "new" more restrained model. Such a plan was to become GAZ-3105.
The union, as you know, disintegrated, and the new flagship did not take root - the car was produced only 4 years. From the technical point of view, GAZ-3105 (the photo of the car today can only be found on specialized resources) is of particular interest, since at that time it was the highest class of the domestic car industry. All-wheel drive, eight-cylinder gasoline engine made of aluminum alloy cylinder head, contactless ignition system, stability stabilizers, aluminum alloy wheels, ABS - agree, a good set for a domestic car of the early 90's. A choice that is not available to everyone.
The layout of the engine compartment GAZ-3105 is dense, which allowed to increase the free space for the legs in front. The rear sofa is lowered to the rear axle and pushed aside - compared to the model 31029, this made it possible to make the interior longer by 3 cm. In addition, the rear seat also has adjustments for the backrest angle. Provides heating and electric adjustment of seats. The climatic installation of the salon combines the functionality of the air conditioner, ventilation and air heating. About the acoustic setup and not worth talking about - for a car of this class is, of course, not a luxury. Dimensions GAZ-3105 - similar to the "twenty-ninth" model except for a slight difference in width. By and large, both models are equally comfortable and roomy, the same applies to the trunks of both models.
At the dawn of the launch of the GAZ-3105, it was presented to the public at international motor shows in Brussels and Leipzig, where he made the best impression on foreign guests. However, the country considered that mass production of this machine exclusively for government circles would be too expensive. That is why for 4 years of production (from 1992 to 1996) the plant produced only 55 cars, instead of the previously planned volume of 250 cars per year.
