Christian glorification is a jubilation of salvation!

Even in the Old Testament times, the psalmist called for joy and praise of God, because He is guarding and blessing His people. But when the good news of salvation came to earth, Christian glorification reached its apogee. It is not a duty, but a need. The Apostle Paul in a letter from the Corinthian church says that it is natural for saved people to praise God. People who have accepted the salvation suffered by Christ, do not need to explain what Christian glorification is. Having learned God, it is impossible not to fall in love with him, but falling in love - one can not help glorifying him. In the Bible in general, there are many verses that praise the Lord. You can glorify by word and deed.

Christian glorification in Orthodoxy

First of all, this is a moral-pure, pleasing life, an experience of God's mercy and philanthropy with the mind and heart, admiration for his wisdom and greatness. Orthodox Christians glorify God in prayer, in church worship, as well as their talents and abilities. The believer has everything: dreams, thoughts, talents and actions - are an expression, a manifestation of God's design on earth.

Glorification in the Catholic faith

Catholics in the service of exceptional importance attached to the cult, because they believe that through the church ordinances, a person directly touches God and accepts grace from Him. The most important sacrament is the sacrament of bread and wine. As well as at orthodox, it is considered, that the person praises to God not only lips, but also affairs.

Protestant glorification

In the center of attention of believers is personal salvation from punishment for sins, which a person receives not due to good deeds, but only by faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice. Therefore, Christian glorification for them is a joyful rejoicing and praise for salvation and a new life in Christ. The overwhelming number of Protestant currents practice worship through popular Christian songs and musical compositions.

Christian music

The glorification of the language of music exists since ancient times. Biblical psalms are songs that sang to the music of strings and other instruments. The treasury of world culture included the greatest examples of spiritual music - Russian and Western European: chant, hymns, masses. In the genre of church music, Stravinsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, Bach, Haydn, Berlioz, Schubert worked. In the Orthodox hymn, the names of Arkhangelsk, Chesnokov, Gubaidullina, Grechaninov are well known.

The musical compositions in Protestant services from the very beginning were distinguished by improvisation and concert features. And if under the arches of Catholic churches the hymns in Latin are taking off, and in the Orthodox churches, the angelic liturgical chants in the Old Church Slavonic, then according to the plan of the reformer Martin Luther , the whole Protestant community in the native language was to perform the song in chorus. Melodies for them were often chosen from the secular repertoire. Popular music as a powerful means of preaching the Gospel was actively used by Americans at the beginning of the last century. Today this is a special genre. Christian groups of worship contrasted the sad and solemn music of Orthodoxy and Catholicism with joyful, rhythmic and inspirational songs.
