Cardiocrinum (giant lilies) - an unusual plant for your garden

Cardiocinum is a giant lily. They are very unusual bulbous perennials. They have a high stem and large leaves of a heart-shaped form. During flowering they form slightly drooping flowers of white color, sometimes with a greenish tint, in appearance they are very similar to lilies.

Giant lilies (cardiocinum) fully justify their name. In height, these plants can reach 3 meters. They blossom in the second half of the summer. Flowering lasts quite a long time. Despite the fact that cardiocinum is a winter-hardy flower, it is still necessary to provide additional shelter from frost.

The use of the second method is inexpedient, since young plants are very difficult to grow from seeds, and they will only blossom in a few years. True, this period can be shortened if the seed is subjected to stratification in a special way, but this process is quite laborious. The way of reproduction by seeds is good in that it allows to receive a lot of new colors.
