- Candles "Relief A" (Advance) in its composition contain benzocaine, which is characterized as a strong analgesic. They are recommended to be used in those cases when it is required to remove the pain very quickly. This variety acts faster than conventional Relief candles (reviews of doctors and patients confirm it), heal deep wounds on the mucous membrane. They are more often used in hospitals to treat patients after complicated operations or with very deep cracks.
- Candles "Relief Ultra" contain hydrocortisone acetate. This non-steroid hormone perfectly removes inflammation, quickly removes swelling, easily cope with itching. Zinc sulphate dries well the mucosal damage. Recommend this species for the treatment of inflammation and cracks caused by eczema or dermatitis.
Composition and application
The main active substance of the candles is oil, which is extracted from the liver of a shark, and phenylephrine hydrochloride. In addition, they include white beeswax, oils (corn, thyme, cocoa), water, petroleum jelly, vitamin E and some other substances.
Contraindications
"Relief" - candles, the price of which is quite affordable, because they are often used for self-treatment. This is categorically unacceptable: the outcome can be very difficult. It must be remembered that some of the active and auxiliary substances that make up the subpository are contraindicated:
- Persons prone to thrombosis;
- Suffering from disorders of the immune system;
- Allergic people.
In addition, candles are not recommended for patients using MAO inhibitors or antihypertensive drugs. Pregnant and lactating women should always discuss the use of suppositories with a doctor.
