Bulgarian fairy tale "A hen carrying golden eggs": a plot

Every nation has its own tales. And they all have their own characteristics. In this article we will talk about such a genre as a Bulgarian fairy tale. "A hen carrying golden eggs" is one of the most popular works of this kind in Bulgaria. What distinguishes the tales of this people? First, Bulgaria has long remained an agrarian country, and therefore the motives associated with peasant life are strong in the works of its authors. Secondly, in the Bulgarian tales the narrative is often conducted in a humorous or even a satirical style. Thus, here often deride the negative features of human nature: greed, stupidity, arrogance and so on. The famous Bulgarian fairy tale "Chicken Bearing Golden Eggs" was not an exception to this rule. Let us pass to its content.

Unexpected find

Once upon a time there was a poor peasant in the world. He experienced many needs with his family. And his hut was thin, and sometimes there was nothing, and the clothes had long ago turned into rags. Of all the wealth he had only a chicken, which carried one testicle a day. One day the peasant went into the chicken coop, as usual, and found one egg under the roost, but not simple, but golden. At first the poor man did not believe his eyes. He took a golden egg, examined it from all sides, felt it. Yes, it really was a precious thing. Then the peasant came up with the idea that it was someone who wanted to make fun of him, poor fellow. He looked around, but there was no one around. Still not believing in his own happiness, the owner of the chicken coop carried an egg to the jeweler, so that he confirmed that the thing was really golden. Goldsmith, after examining the find, said to the peasant: "This is one hundred percent pure gold, and the highest test." The happy owner of the chicken coop was returning home, building the boldest plans in his head about what he would buy first, selling the jewel. So well begins a fairy tale about the chicken, which carried golden eggs.

The peasant becomes rich

The next day, just before dawn, our hero went to the market and sold his expensive find. Returning home with a lot of money, the peasant rolled a feast with a mountain, to which the whole village came running. Imagine the wonder of the poor man, when the next day, when he came to his henhouse, he saw under the roost exactly the same golden egg. Surprise and joy of the peasant there was no limit. Since then, he began to find every morning in the nest of his chicken one gold egg. The poor man got rich. Now he bought himself and his relatives good clothes, the best products in the market. And soon he moved to a big nice house, leaving his shack. If you believe this tale, it turns out that getting rich is not so difficult. But the main lesson to be learned from here is how not to lose one's state. We can say that this is a fairy tale for a rich child. "A hen carrying golden eggs" is an instructive work on how to increase its capital without going to extremes.

Anger of the rich

Live with the peasant and his family and rejoice. But it was not there. Greed began to prevail over yesterday's poor man. Now the rich peasant has calculated in his mind what good income he could get if the hen carried a single testicle a day, but several. Every day he came to the chicken coop, trying to understand how his birdies get to produce this jewel. The stupid peasant hoped to learn how to make golden eggs. But no matter how much he watched or pondered, he could not understand this. The rich became angry. But on this Bulgarian folk tale about the chicken, which bears golden eggs, does not end. Further, our hero will create an irreparable cause, after which he will have to forget about the accumulation of wealth.

The peasant remains with nothing

Once, after entering the chicken coop, he could not stand the rich, ran to the roost with a sharp knife and cut his chicken in half. What did he see? Only parts of the nascent chicken egg in the chicken. That's how the stupid and greedy peasant lost his permanent income. Next, we will tell you about what the Bulgarian fairy tale "Chicken Carrying Golden Eggs" teaches.

The moral of the work

Some people in the pursuit of wealth often lose everything they have acquired. If greed is excessive, it can lead to complete collapse, as it happened in this work. The greed of a person dwarfs the eye, deprives him of the ability to properly assess the situation. The earlier a child understands this, the more successful he will be in the future. A good lesson for children is presented by the Bulgarian fairy tale "Chicken Carrying Golden Eggs". 2 class - it's time to get to know the students with this instructive work.

And then she ordered her old man to beg another hut, then a tower, in which she would be a pillar noblewoman, then the royal chambers.
