Browser Opera does not open the page: what's the problem?

In the early computer help people often complain about the fact that the Opera does not open the pages. Usually the situation looks like this: after restarting the computer the browser starts working, but it's worth trying to go to some sites, as it immediately stops working. Re-downloading Opera can solve the problem, or it may not solve, and the reinstalled opera does not open the sites anyway.

So, your situation is clear, now about what you can do with it.

  1. If Opera does not open the pages, then open the Task Manager panel (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and in the "Processes" tab find Opera.exe. If it is there, then you are dealing with a common mistake by the Opera when the closed browser seems to be working. The process must be forcibly terminated, and then open the program again.
  2. If the previous advice did not help, or if Opera does not open pages with specific addresses, and others open normally, try to update your antivirus and perform as thorough a computer scan as possible . The Trojan Spy.BZub.NCY often interferes with the actions of the Opera.
  3. Under the same conditions (the sites are opened through one), you can try another way: in the Settings dialog of the Opera (Tools - General settings), find the "Content" item in the "Advanced" tab and review it. Perhaps Opera does not open pages that are in the blocked list. You can also uncheck the "Enable plug-ins" and "Enable JavaScript" options, sometimes it helps. However, by disabling these settings, you will make it impossible to view pictures and animations, so these actions can be considered extreme measure. However, the clear effect of including and disabling scripts on page display will serve as a sign that malicious software is running on the computer and it needs to be cleaned.
  4. If all previous manipulations had no effect, it remains to assume an error in the temporary files. They are outside the program folder, which is why Opera does not open the pages even after reinstalling. To eliminate this trouble, you will have to completely delete the browser, so if you have unsaved data, take care of their fate before work.

After this, you can proceed to complete removal. The task will help to cope with the utility RevoUninstaller. Now install the program again. Check, works? Must.

There is also a more time-consuming way to solve the same problem. It is suitable for those who like to get to everything in everything and find the origins of the situation.

Windows while running applications permanently saves various intermediate results in special temporary files. They can be in the "Application Data", "TEMP", "AppData" or "Prefetch" folders, and if there is a problem with opening an application or Internet page, the first suspicion falls on them. You can clean up the repository using one of the powerful utilities: Auslogic Boostspeed or TuneUp.

An alternative method is cleaning without special software. To begin with, with all the necessary folders, you need to remove the predefined attribute "hidden".

For Windows 7: "start" - "search" - insert the words "folder settings", the desired item will be found.

For Windows XP: "Control Panel" - the "Folder Options" tab

Then open the "View" tab and uncheck the option "hide protected system files", but on the "show hidden folders, files, disks" on the contrary, install. Now all the temporary files of the opera are visible and you can delete them, cut them, move them or copy them, in short, take any actions with respect to them.

In Windows 7, 2 folders are deleted:

  1. Path - drive C - p. "Users" - item "User name" - item "AppData" - item "Roaming" - item "Opera"
  2. Path - drive C - "Users" - p. "User name" - item "AppData" - item "Local" - item "Opera"

In Windows XP it is the only one: drive C - p. "Documents and Settings" - p. "User name" - item "Application Data" - item "Opera"

The real address, of course, does not contain the words "user name", instead of them you need to put the name of the account in which you work. If no profiles have been created specifically, it will most likely be "admin" or "administrator".
