Boris Strugatsky, perhaps everyone knows who is interested in science fiction. For many years he wrote books in co-authorship with his no less distinguished brother, Arkady Strugatsky.

Boris Strugatsky was born in St. Petersburg, almost 8 years later, which his brother Arkady. Their father Nathan Strugatsky worked in the field of science, namely, he occupied the place of a scientific employee of the State Russian Museum. And her mother, in turn, worked as a teacher in a school where, after the war, she was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor and was awarded the title "Honored Teacher of the RSFSR".

Boris Strugatsky survived the war in besieged Leningrad. In the winter of 1942, he fell seriously ill, so his brother Arkady and father Nathan went to the evacuation together. Only in 1943 Arkady managed to return to Leningrad and take out the mother Alexander and Boris from there. The family returned to Leningrad only in 1945.

In 1950, Boris Strugatsky with a silver medal graduated from school. After school, he enrolled in the Mathematics and Mechanics Department, graduated in 1955, receiving a specialty as an "astronomer." After graduating from this university, he entered post-graduate school, but could not defend the thesis.

It is interesting that Boris Strugatsky (photo below) does not have a writer's education, only a scientific one. But this did not stop him from writing legendary books for all time. Later, some of them were filmed. Boris and Arkady took part in the production of films, but none of them was satisfied with the result. "I resigned myself to the fact that not one of the screen versions coincides with my vision of the book," Boris Strugatsky admitted somehow. The legendary writer died in 2012 because of heart problems.

After the death of Arkady, Boris Strugatsky constantly worked in tandem with young authors. And under the pseudonym S. Vititsky, Boris wrote two books: "The Search for Destination, or the Twenty-Seventh Theorem of Ethics," over which he worked for two years, as well as "Powerless of this World." On the official website of the Strugatsky brothers Boris answered more than 1000 questions. In addition, Boris made translations of novels by English authors, such as Hol Clement, Andre Norton and John Wyndham.
