Book shelving with your own hands

Modern book lovers often have a problem with the placement of a home library. As usual, there are a lot of books, but there is not enough space. Accordingly, such a problem definitely requires a solution. And this decision can be book shelves made by themselves.

The second point is that when you create them you can use the available materials, such as old boxes, pipes, ropes and so on. But it should be remembered that such shelves for books will have to spend some time, which is not always enough.

Also very important is the moment of improvisation. I mean, if you create book shelves with your own hands, then it becomes possible to show your creativity to the full and create not just shelves for books, but a real decorative element that will advantageously enrich the interior of the room.

As for the placement, there are completely different options. This can be a wall and a partition, and an angle. The second option is more interesting in that it allows you to save some space, and in conditions of small-sized housing this fact looks attractive enough. But still, in most cases, in order to place bookshelves-racks, choose a free section of the wall. The fact is that there such regiments look somewhat more harmonious.

As already mentioned above, in order to create book shelving, you can use the available material. Suitable, for example, the same parcel box or sawn pallet. But it is worth knowing that to begin with this material should be put in order. First of all, it should be cleaned, and then it is desirable to cover it with varnish (although it is better to cover the already finished product with varnish).

Now about what concerns the specific design of the bookshelf. Naturally, there are several options. To begin with, I would like to note the rack, which can be made from a simple rope and several boards. The main thing is that the rope, as well as the boards, is still strong enough. In the rest everything is simple - we just need to create a design for bookshelves on the principle of a hammock. That is, the boards must be connected together by means of a rope. This is both an elegant and practical option.

Again, there is another interesting option. To do this, you need two identical ladders and boards of different lengths. Stepladders are put against the wall, and boards are attached to them. And this again is practical and elegant. But it is highly desirable not to spoil the whole picture with a sloppy appearance. Therefore, beforehand the ladders together with the boards must be covered with varnish. In principle, you can use ordinary paint. In general, someone like that.

Well, at last it is necessary to designate one more important moment. It is highly desirable that book racks be manufactured in accordance with certain norms. Firstly, the length of the boards used as a base should not exceed 80 cm, and their width should be about 20 cm. After all, then they will not once again bend from the severity of the books, which means that their service life will be significantly increased.
