Beta alanine

Alanine (or aminopropionic acid) is an aliphatic (aromatic-free) amino acid. In the liver, it is easily processed into glucose - a source of energy for the body, thus providing the bulk of gluconeogenesis in the liver.

The most common are its two isomers:

- alpha alanine - is a constituent of many proteins;

- beta-alanine is an element of the structure of certain biologically active substances (peptides), in particular carnosine, as well as in coenzyme, and in the free state it is contained in the brain tissue of the head.

Alanine, the formula of which has the following form: CH3-CH (NH2) -COOH, reacts with bases, acids, alcohol, forms a peptide bond.

Beta-alanine acts mainly as a restorer of muscle tissue and a powerful buffer. For this reason, this food supplement is very important for athletes who work at the maximum during training; For those who face anaerobic loads, say, for bodybuilders - increasing endurance, it simultaneously indirectly increases the intensity of training, and hence, the growth of the musculature.

As for athletes, for them, according to recent research, the addition of value does not represent.

The hydrogen ions formed in the body put physical development in some physiological framework. This primarily applies to fast muscle fibers (as the most sensitive to hydrogen ions). This influence is manifested in the rapid occurrence of fatigue. This can be resisted and even significantly increased force if these ions can be buffered. With this task, beta-alanine works great. For example, for athletes-siloviki, the adoption of this amino acid means an increase in the weight and the number of repetitions in approaches in the scale of the hall.

An even greater result is facilitated by the presence in the body of the athlete carnosine. Studies have shown: its content will be the higher, the more amount of available beta-alanine in man.

Thus, sports nutrition containing this nutritional supplement increases muscle levels of carnosine in athletes, and as a result, reduces fatigue during training, increases the overall work of muscles.

By the way, carnosine should be present in sufficient quantity and in the brain tissues, its deficiency negatively affects the mental activity.

Beta-alanine can be taken either individually or combined with various dietary supplements, and for this there are no contraindications. For example, taking it in combination with creatine, you can achieve tremendous effect of muscle strength, growth and endurance.

The result will probably be visible for several weeks, because unlike creatine, which has an almost instantaneous effect, beta-alanine needs time to realize all its benefits.

Usually the supplement is taken before training - it is present in many of the preparations used before the exercise. Its usual dose is 400-800 mg, but, as with any sports supplement, it is better to first familiarize yourself with its instructions.

In addition, beta-alanine - one of the most important means of promoting the withdrawal of ammonia, which is formed after physical exertion. As a result, muscle cells are not only cleared of accumulated toxins in them, but their recovery is several times accelerated.

Alanine perfectly influences the hormonal background, normalizes it, and increases the average production of hormones. It is recommended to athletes over 40 years of age as an excellent remedy able to minimize the negative consequences of menopause starting at them. In addition, the amino acid is an excellent preventive against the formation of kidney stones when tap water is used in large quantities.
