Best e-book with backlight

This review is devoted to three devices for reading electronic books with backlighting - Barnes & Noble Nook Simple Touch with GlowLight, ONYX BOOX i62ML Aurora and Amazon Kindle Paperwhite. Today we will determine which device is the best e-book. Perhaps, we will begin by describing the general merits of all three books.

1) Illumination of the screen. Of course, everyone has a soft and high-quality built-in screen backlight, which is adjustable. All three models have built-in illumination, without additional flashlights or light bulbs.

2) Infrared touch screen. All these e-books have it (it is the most qualitative of the existing options).

3) The six-inch screen is neither an advantage nor a disadvantage, since all leading manufacturers use this size. Reader is easy to read and carry, so it is so popular that they even have the best e-book!

4) E-Ink screen. This undeniable advantage of electronic books makes them capable of displaying text, graphics and other objects, like on paper, spending electricity only when turning over.

Now let's turn to their differences among themselves:

1) Contrast of the screen. Aurora ranks first on this point, leaving competitors far behind. "Kindle" has a contrast of half as much, and Nook - a little less than the Amazon Kindle.

2) Screen resolution. Aurora and Kindle have screens of Pearl HD standard (1024х768), while Nook Simple Touch has a resolution of 800x600.

3) The amount of RAM. If you do not pay attention to conventions, e-books - these are the same computers, only portable. Therefore, the amount of RAM significantly affects the speed. "Kindle" and "Nook" have 256 MB of RAM, while "Aurora" - two times less (128 MB of RAM). Nevertheless, the brainchild of ONYX does not hinder this - it swallows large files with appetite.

4) The amount of internal memory. Here everything is on the contrary - "Aurora" has 8 Gigabytes, the rest - 2 GB each. But do not be sad - Amazon claims that the Kindle will fit 1100 books, Barnes & Noble, that in the electronic book of its production Nook Simple Touch - 1000 books, and the Aurora will "enter" 4,500 books. Nevertheless, it seems to me that 1000 books - a sufficient number, even for an avid reader. The next point of the review is intended for those who are not enough.

5) Support for memory cards. "Aurora" and "Nuk" allow expanding the amount of limited internal memory using an external microSD card (unlike Kindle). If you really need a better e-book, user feedback is something that should be read.

6) Multitouch. In this case, the Nook looks a little faded against the competition, while the ONYX BOOX i62ML Aurora and Amazon Kindle Paperwhite have the ability to smoothly change the font size with a slight finger movement in different directions.

7) Supported file formats. The largest number of formats supports the brainchild of ONYX - 25 pieces. With the help of "Kindle" you will see four formats, and "Nuka" - six. However, after the flashing, the NST is able to show any existing format thanks to the programs on the Android operating system.

8) The price. In our country this is one of the most important parameters when buying, even if it is the best e-book. Nook Simple Touch with Glowlight has the lowest price - around 150 cu, Amazon Kindle Paperwhite - not much more - 160 cu The most expensive reader from the considered - Aurora - has a price of $ 250, which, in my opinion, is unreasonably high.

9) Electronic books (reviews). Impressions about all these products are about the same, most negative reviews describe the shortcomings of all existing E-book models in general.

In conclusion, I want to say that an e-book is a very individual matter, so choose something that is closer to your heart. Successful purchases, let you have the best e-book!
