Belgian striker Gianni Bruno

Gianni Bruno is a Belgian striker with Italian roots. He can play both at the forefront of the attack, and on the flanks. Gianni Bruno is now 25 years old, and almost all of his career he spent in France - only this summer the player went on a lease to Russia.

Carier start

Gianni Bruno was born August 19, 1991 in Belgium, where at the age of five he was in the football academy of a small club "Liège". There he spent four years, but in 2000 the club had financial difficulties, so the youth academy was dissolved. Fortunately, the boy's talent was seen in another club based in that same city. It was "Standard", one of the largest clubs in the country. It was there that the young sportsman spent seven whole years improving as a football player. In 2009, when Gianni Bruno turned 18 years old, Standard offered him a professional contract, but the forward refused and moved to France, the club Lille, which was based much closer to his hometown.

His professional career, Gianni began in the duplicate of "Lille", where he spent two whole years. Only in 2011 at the age of 20 he had a chance to make his debut for the main line-up. In the same season, he spent 13 matches, scoring two goals. The following year the situation did not improve - Gianni entered the field in 18 games, but scored again two goals. The Belgian contract was over, and it was decided to give him another chance by sending him to Bastia.

Rent in Bastia

In "Bastia" Gianni Bruno, a footballer looking pretty promising, immediately got a place in the base and played 33 games, but they scored only eight goals, so the management of "Lille" was not impressed and did not prolong the contract with him. As a result, the Belgian had to find a job, which he found in Evian.

Career in Evian

In the summer of 2014, Bruno signed a contract with Evian, where he spent six months and did not show particularly impressive results. Therefore, for the rest of the season he was leased to Lorient, where he played in 12 games, scoring one goal. After that, Bruno spent another six months in Evian, bringing his statistics in the club to 31 matches and five goals. After the forward was again sent for rent.

Rent in the Wings of the Soviets

The new club, which was joined in February 2016 by Gianni Bruno, is the "Wings of the Soviets" (Samara). There he is not yet shining with impressive results. For seven months in the club, he went to the field only six times, without scoring a single goal. Ahead of him is almost a whole year of rent, so Gianni will still have a chance to show himself, but so far the situation does not look very impressive, although at one time it was believed that he could become one of the strongest forwards in Belgium.

National team appearances

To this day, Bruno has never received a challenge to the national team of Belgium. He has a large number of performances for youth teams of different age categories - in total he spent 55 matches, scoring 20 goals, which impressed the public in his time. But over time, Bruno did not live up to expectations and remained outside the adult national team of Belgium in football, where his position is played by such strong players as Romel Lukaku or Christian Benteke.
