Assembling the shower cabin with your own hands

Recently, shower cabins have become very popular. And the price for them has been greatly reduced thanks to the Chinese manufacturer, which copies analogues of Italy and other countries. Of course, the quality of these cabins is not very high, but there are instances that are no worse than the originals.

The assembly of the shower enclosure is not very difficult. It can be handled by almost any person, because each set is accompanied by its own instruction, where each part is marked with a letter or number that can not be confused. And you can save a lot of money. If you carefully read the instructions, the shower cabin assembly will take 1.5 - 2 hours. It's not so much.

So, the shower assembly begins with the installation of a shower tray. It is installed horizontally and, if necessary, is adjusted with the sliding legs of the pallet. To check the horizontality of the installation, use the level. After installing the pallet, the telescopic legs are fixed with locknuts, and then the pallet is removed to install the siphon. Having done this, the pallet is placed on the preliminary installation site.

Then there is the installation of side walls, which are connected to the corner vertical posts with self-tapping screws. The next stages are fastening to the side walls of the arched beams. As a rule, the wide one is fixed at the top, and the narrow one is at the bottom. Beams are attached to the rack by inserting plastic guides into the profile and fixing the screws through the riser.

Then you should install the front wall, which consists of narrow panes and intermediate racks. To do this, insert the glass into the groove of the corner rack. Then hold the intermediate stand and attach it to the upper and lower arch with screws. Before inserting the glass, fill the grooves with a silicone sealant to prevent the cabin from leaking.

After assembling the front part, a side glass wall should be attached to the pallet. Align it along the edge, drill a hole in the pallet and tighten the screws.

The shower cabin is finished! But the final stage is testing for strength. Connect all communications, open the water and inspect the pipe connections. If there is a leak, it must be eliminated.

A shower is a pleasure for its owners. But any technique is not eternal, because periodically it is required to repair the shower, which is divided into three groups in the place of origin:

• A small breakdown of body parts.
• Breakage of sanitary equipment.
• The output of electrical appliances is out of order.

In the case there may be a broken pallet, roller doors, glass walls or doors.

With prolonged use of the cabin, such trouble with rollers can arise: rusting or breakage of wheels, with the repair being to replace them.

Repair of the pallet is connected in most cases with scratches or other damages. Such troubles can easily be sealed with special mixtures that can be purchased at any construction store.

Broken glass walls or doors - one of the most expensive types of damage. These glass parts are very fragile and can break even with a slight impact. There is only one way out - a replacement.

On the sanitary part, the repair of the cabins is done if the shower hose, mixer or siphon is damaged. In most cases, all this must also be replaced.

If electrical appliances fail, their repair is best entrusted to specialists, since modern shower enclosures are saturated with various electrical elements, and if they are incorrectly connected, this can lead to the failure of the entire system, and in the worst case, harm the health of the household.

And in general, the assembly of shower cabins and their repair - the task is quite feasible!
