In 1993, according to the order of the President of Turkmenistan , this iconic exhibition was created. The institution bears the name of the Hero of the country Gurbansoltan-eje.

The museum houses the largest collection of modern and ancient things of the national carpet weaving on the Earth. Here you can find very rare specimens of pile woolen carpets and other objects, the creation of which dates back to the XVIII century. The main exhibit of the museum is a carpet, which is called "Golden Age of the Great Saparmurat Turkmenbashi". This is the largest carpet on the planet: its area is 301 m2, and the weight of the product exceeds one ton. It was woven by hand in 2001.

The main mosque of the country

Ashgabat (sights) on its territory placed the main mosque of Turkmenistan, bearing the name of Turkmenbashi Rukh. To better describe the location of the object, it should be said that it is located not in the capital itself, but 15 kilometers from it.

The giant building invariably affects the human imagination, impresses with its grandeur and beauty. Ashgabat, the sights of the city, in general, have such a feature - as if fascinating tourists with grace and picturesque views. But people who visited the mosque, there remains a strange feeling of despondency from what they saw.

The structure is characterized by giant parameters, and it is completely lined with white marble. A hundred million dollars was spent on the construction of the facility. The mosque is located on the territory, the area of which is 18 thousand m2. Ceilings in height reach 55 meters. The height of each of the four detached minarets is 80 meters.

Presidential residence

The area of Ashgabat (attractions, photos and description can be considered in this review) reaches almost 700 square kilometers, so it became possible to place many beautiful objects on its territory. One of these was the palace complex "Oguzkhan", which is the residence of the head of Turkmenistan. The complex is a series of buildings that occupy a very large area in the center of the capital.

The complex consists of buildings of different times. The oldest of them was erected in the times of the Soviet Union. Today it is completely reconstructed. In 2011, new, beautiful buildings were built, including the Oguzkhan Palace.

The palace has several rooms. In the central hall are often greeted by distinguished guests. The "Golden Hall" holds bilateral negotiations of the highest level in a narrow circle. "Gorkut-Ata" is a hall intended for conducting negotiations in a broader composition. There is also a hall in which important agreements and documents are signed (Seljuk-Khan), a hall for holding press conferences (Bairam-Khan). There are other rooms for other events.

Colorful TV tower

On the crest of the Kopetdag ridge, a 211 meter long television tower was erected. In the central part of the TV and radio center there is an eight-pointed "Oguzkhan star", which is covered with special blue strong glasses on both sides. Like Ashgabat (attractions, photos to which are attached), this element was once included in the Book of Records as the world's largest architectural image of a star. When the street darkens, the television tower turns on the color lighting, giving the object a special color.

The state television and radio channels operate in the television center. In the main block of the tower there are 31 floors, where there are studios, office premises, cafeterias, rest rooms and other facilities. At a 145-meter height there is a revolving restaurant. From it you can admire the stunning panoramas of Ashgabat.

Palace of Happiness in Ashgabat

The palace of marriages "Bagt Koshgi" ("Palace of Happiness") was opened in 2011. This is a ten-story building, built in the form of an eight-pointed star Oguzkhan. On the columns rises a cube, which is also the upper stage of the palace and accommodates a rotating ball, the diameter of which reaches 32 meters. This geometric body became a symbolic image of the globe. In the center of the ball is a gold card of the country.

Turkmenistan (Ashgabat, sights) can be viewed from the elevation on which the palace itself is located. If the whole country can not be seen, then its capital is quite possible to contemplate. In the palace, several wedding ceremonies can be organized simultaneously, since it has eight entrances. There is also a couple of wedding halls, which can be found on the ground floor of the building. One of them is able to accommodate five hundred people, the second - twice as many.
