Apparatus for welding "Svarog": characteristics, instructions

The technological breakthrough in the field of welding equipment was the emergence of inverter devices. A fundamentally new way of supplying an electric discharge arc allowed manufacturers to reduce weight and reduce the size of welding machines, while simplifying the performance of welding operations due to a number of useful functions and stabilization of combustion. To date, many companies produce inverter devices. One of the most popular is the Svarog inverter.

What is an inverter welding machine

The inverter unit represents a block assembled from several key transistors, which converts a direct current into an alternating current at an ultrahigh frequency. The frequency of the current supplied in the standard urban network is 50 Hz, while the rectifier and the subsequent inverter increase it to 70 kHz. The frequency of the current directly affects the size of the power transformer and its mass. The higher the frequency, the stronger it will be to reduce the transformer without losing its power. Manufacturers succeeded, by implementing this principle in practice, to reduce welding machines by three times, making them lighter and more compact.

Inverter welding machines, in addition to their compact size and lightweight design, also have other advantages. The operation of such devices and their individual elements is controlled by one or more microcircuits placed on the control board. The microcircuits regulate the arc burning mode and realize several functions that are considered compulsory for modern models of inverter apparatus for aluminum welding:

  • Hot start. A brief increase in the amperage to facilitate and accelerate the ignition of the arc.
  • Antisolation. The inverter is automatically turned off when the electrode is stuck.
  • Fast and the Furious. To prevent sticking of the electrode in the automatic mode, the welding current is regulated.

Manufacturer of Svarog inverters

On the domestic market of welding equipment in 2007 appeared a newcomer - a welding machine of the brand "Svarog". The manufacturer of the new device was a company from China Shenzhen Jasic Technology Development, represented on the territory of Russia by the company "Insvarkom".

The products produced by the Chinese company are of good quality and affordable price, but they do not belong to the premium class. The production of welding machines "Svarog" is carried out on the basis of normative documents:

  • Directive 89/336 / EEC.
  • Directive 73/23 / EEC.
  • European standard EN / IEC60974.

Certificates of conformity issued in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, confirm the high quality of apparatuses for aluminum welding of this brand.

The lineup

When developing the device "Svarog", the manufacturer tried to implement all the functions necessary for welding operations. The company today produces about forty models, among which there are devices designed for manual welding, plasma cutting of metals and semiautomatic devices.

Separately it is necessary to specify the feature of marking inverter welding machines "Svarog". In the field of welding equipment production there is an unspoken rule according to which the maximum value of the welding current is indicated in the device mark. Such a rule quickly spread among consumers who, when choosing welding machines, assess their capabilities without looking at technical characteristics, relying only on marking.

The manufacturer of Svarog 200 devices used this rule, indicating in the model markings figures slightly higher than the actual current, since from the legal point of view the manufacturer can give his product any name. For this reason, when choosing welding machines of this brand, it is necessary to look into the technical specifications.

Apparatus for manual arc welding

Devices for manual welding "Svarog ARC 125" and "Svarog ARC 145" are used in domestic conditions for welding blanks, the thickness of which does not exceed 3 mm. Compact dimensions and small weight of devices make it easy to transfer them from place to place and work with them in small rooms. An important advantage of these devices for welding is the price: inverters are sold on domestic markets for 7-8 thousand rubles, which is a small cost for a highly functional appliance.

Other models of this line, which are more powerful, can work with currents up to 200 A, so these inverters are used on construction and installation sites, in many manufacturing and repair enterprises. The welding machine "Svarog ARC 250" is the most powerful in this line - its maximum current strength is 225 A.

The combination of letters II indicated in the marking of the inverter welding machine means that the case of the device is made of high-quality plastic, and accordingly it can be safely used in rooms with a high level of humidity.

Inverters for semi-automatic welding in shielding gases

The welding machine "Svarog MIG 160" is the first of the devices in this model range, carrying out welding or electrode wire, or individual electrodes in a semi-automatic mode. This welding machine has a price of 25 thousand rubles. Despite the rather wide functionality, the most popular is another model from this line - "Svarog MIG 200Y", which is widely in demand in car-care centers.

The inverter of this model is often used in the assembly of metal structures. Work with such a device on construction sites during high-altitude work is almost impossible due to too much weight of 25 kilograms.

Industrial welding equipment

Semi-automatic two-block inverters "Svarog MIG 350" and "Svarog MIG 500" belong to the category of industrial equipment. The devices for plasma cutting of metals, argon-arc welding and three-phase devices for MMA-welding are also included here.

Inverters for argon-arc welding

Apparatus for TIG welding "Svarog", a number of which includes both universal devices that can switch to the standard welding mode using melting electrodes, and pure "argon".

Advantages and disadvantages of inverters

The main advantages of Svarog welding machines are affordable prices and excellent equipment. Many semi-automatic inverters manufactured by this manufacturer are supplied together with a cable with a grounding clamp and a welding torch, which is quite rare among similar equipment from other manufacturers.

Despite this, Svarog inverters also have their drawbacks:

  • High cost of repair work. In the event of failure of the welding machines "Svarog" will have to pay a large amount, which is not less than the cost of the new inverter.
  • High requirements for operating conditions of devices - both domestic and professional models. It is necessary to take into account the temperature and humidity of the air, the dustiness of the room.
  • Inverters produced by this Chinese company do not have a long operating life: it rarely exceeds the warranty period established by the manufacturer.

The original task of the welding equipment manufacturer "Svarog" was the creation and production of a budget line of inverters. Despite the shortcomings typical for this type of equipment, the instruments from the Chinese company Jasic are in great demand, as, as users note, they completely work out the money spent on them. Inverters "Svarog" are characterized by good functionality, rich bundling, ability to work in rather difficult operating conditions. A wide range of models makes it possible to select a welding machine that is optimally suited to the planned work front. Attractive prices make Svarog inverters affordable for the mass consumer. Insignificant defects of devices are completely covered by their advantages, reliability and quality of work.
