Analog "Lyoton": instructions for use, feedback

Varicose veins are a serious problem for women and men. Statistics indicate the development of varicose veins in almost every second inhabitant of the planet.

Causes of varicose veins

Specialists call this disease the payment of people for uprightness. And in fact, the veins of the lower limbs of a person are subject to much greater pressure than the limbs of animals. Do not forget about the effect on the appearance of varicose heredity, violations in the endocrine system and other conditions. This wide prevalence of the disease explains the variety of anti-varicose drugs presented in pharmacies in each city.

Antithrombotics

If in the days of Hippocrates the only method of treating varicose veins was surgical intervention, or simply the removal of diseased veins, then today there is a wide range of therapies and the prevention of this disease. These are various capsules, tablets, drops, injections and other forms of medication. Among them, not the last place is occupied by means for external application, which are one of the components of complex therapy of varicose veins. These are various ointments, creams and gels. Showcases of pharmacies are full of names of such drugs: "Trombles", "Lyoton", "Gepatrombin", "Dolobene", "Escuzan", "Reparil", "Venastat" and many others. You can continue the transfer for a long time. One of the most highly advertised and expensive means is "Lyoton". Advertising is not cunning. The gel "Lyoton", the use of which really improves the condition of the legs and prevents the development of thrombophlebitis, is an effective tool in the prevention and control of varicose veins. Its effectiveness is explained by the substance that is part of the gel - heparin.

What is the basis of the action of heparin?

Heparin is an organic substance of animal origin, an anticoagulant, refers to water-soluble glycosaminoglycans. This compound is contained in the so-called mast cells of animal organisms that release a variety of physiologically active substances (including heparin) to combat inflammation and allergens. Its name was given to heparin because of its high content in the liver. It prevents the formation of thrombi due to interaction with antithrombin. The latter, in combination with heparin, multiplies its inhibitory effect with respect to thrombus-forming blood proteins (compounds that promote the formation of thrombi). Therefore, heparin is the main component of many antithrombotic agents.

Being impressed by the commercials, many prefer those products and means that appear more often on the TV screen and in other media. The increased demand for such products leaves not so well-known similar products in the shade. Among drugs for the treatment of varicose is quite popular and expensive is the ointment "Lyoton". Analogues, whose price is much lower, also have a noticeable effect. They are sold in each pharmacy. Such an analog of "Lyoton" as "Heparin-gel" is quite effective. Instructions for use

"Heparin ointment" is available in tubes of 10 g or 25 g. One gram of ointment contains 100 units of the main active substance - heparin sodium. "Heparin-gel" was created by pharmacists later and is a more perfect and effective form of ointment. The concentration of the main substance in the gel is higher than in the ointment, and is 1000 units per 1 gram of the agent. "Heparin-gel" is produced in tubes of 30, 50 or 100 g. Ointment is much cheaper than gel, but the latter is more effective due to its improved composition.

"Heparin gel" (or ointment) is used for thrombophlebitis of the veins of the lower extremities, the development of trophic ulcers on the shins, with injuries and bruises, which are not accompanied by a violation of the integrity of the skin. "Heparin" copes with the formation of edema, heals hematomas.

In pharmacies, you can find two similar variants of the name of the heparin gel. The first is "Heparin-Acry Gel 1000", the second is "Heparin-Acrigel 1000". These are two names of one drug, and the second option is the new name of the drug produced by the same pharmaceutical company.

Regularity is an indispensable condition for applying Heparin. Apply the product 2 times a day, in the morning and in the evening. If you use an ointment, then after the procedure, put a bandage or a soft gauze on your leg. When using a gel, you do not need to apply a bandage. The use of "Heparin gel" is considered a good prevention of varicose veins and thrombophlebitis. If your legs get tired and swell by the end of the day, the analogue of "Lyoton" will significantly ease the condition of the lower extremities no worse.

Contraindications and side effects

The use of "Heparin-gel" or ointment has some limitations. Let's name the main contraindications:

  • Damage to the skin: wounds, abrasions, cuts, ulcers, abscesses, tissue necrosis.
