Oils are used in hydraulic systems to reduce friction between the elements of the unit design, and therefore, to extend the life of their components. There are many varieties of this type of products on the market. And one of the most qualitative is the AMG-10. The aviation oil (hydraulic) of this brand can be used for engines of both ground and air equipment. Operational qualities it is not bad, but it is very expensive.

Form of issue and composition

It is an AMG-10 oil, the characteristics of which will be examined by us in the article, a transparent viscous liquid of red color. It includes hydrocracked paraffinic oil products and isoparaffinic and naphthenic hydrocarbons. The color of AMG-10 is given by a special dye of organic origin. Mostly for use in such conditions, this oil was developed. When applied in the hydraulic systems of land-based modes of transport, it is therefore able not to freeze even in the harshest winter. The upper temperature limit for this product is + 55 ° C, the lower limit is -60 ° C.

In addition to the hydraulic systems of aircraft, the AMG-10 can also be used in helicopters. In this case, it is usually also used in winter as an oil diluent for transmissions (hypoid) in the main reducer. In aircraft, among other things, it is poured into the rudder system of height and direction, into the main chassis cylinders. According to the regulations, this product can be used in units with a working discharge pressure of up to 229 kg / cm ² .

Application in ground engineering

On the ground AMG-10 is used most often in hydraulic systems of all kinds of road-building special equipment in the North. Owners of personal cars do not use it. Most car enthusiasts believe that it is able to dissolve rubber hoses and cuffs (which are not available in airplanes). And although there is an opinion that this is not quite true, the AMG-10 oil has not been used in conventional cars because it is very expensive. On the market today, there are many quality and at the same time not too expensive means of this group and other brands. And for road-building machinery this oil is used infrequently today. In this case, its cheaper substitutes are usually used.

As many motorists consider, this oil is quite suitable only for a variety of simple hydraulic systems - racks, jacks, GUR.

Unfortunately, there are no direct substitutes for this remedy. However, if necessary, instead of it you can use, for example, such analogs:

2. The neutralization number. This parameter indicates the amount of alkaline and acidic substances in the oil. The first can have a negative impact on the structural materials of the system. The high acid content of the oil is therefore undesirable.
3. Density (mass of a unit of liquid). This indicator directly depends on temperature and pressure. As t increases, the oil volume also increases accordingly.

Safety requirements for storage and use

Despite the fact that AMG-10 is a low-risk product, it is only necessary to work with it in rooms equipped with forced-air ventilation. In the event that the oil spills over the floor, finished with an artificial coating, it should be collected in a separate container. The contaminated area must be thoroughly wiped with a cloth. If the oil spills over the ground in an open area, the spot is first covered with sand, and then removed by means of a notch.

Do not allow the contact of AMG-10 on the skin. If this happens, you should wash the affected area with a warm soapy solution. If oil gets into your eyes or mucous membranes, you should use running water in large quantities.

The flash point for AMG-10 is quite high. But it can, of course, burn. Therefore, keep it away from open flame. If the oil still burns, you can use it to extinguish water, foam, carbon dioxide, steam, compositions of SZB.

The price for AMG-10 oil is high. However, the warranty storage period for it is quite large - 5 years from the date of manufacture for the southern regions and 10 years - for the northern regions.
