Flowers that publish a rich flavor of something, not so much. Sometimes you look at a flower and say: "A flower, like a flower, nothing special about its fragrance." Have you ever sniffed at such a wonderful flower as an alissum? If not, then I advise you to do it. Do you know why? Because it smells of honey. Just imagine, you walk around your site and breathe fragrances that are just like the smell of honey. Fine, is not it? It should be noted that this aroma is quite saturated, heard at some distance from the plant itself. So, I suggest you plant an alissum, the cultivation of which is so simple that with any other colors you will tinker much more. See for yourself.

Alissum - growing up without worries

Before I tell you how to grow an alissum, I want to describe the flower itself. He came to us from South Europe. Probably from Asia or North Africa, because there, too, it grows quietly in the wild. Experts number more than one hundred species of this plant, although we grow much less. The color of the alissum is white, lilac, pink, yellow. Most often it is possible to meet the white alissum, he is also the most popular. Another interesting fact is that this flower has other names - borax, stone, lobularia and others.

How can I use an alissum, the cultivation of which is now available to everyone. The simplest, it can be planted on a flower bed, and he densely colored carpet will cover the earth, fill all around with an amazing honey aroma. Alyssum is great for dressing alpine hills, for planting among rocks in rockeries or mixborders. Finally, the flower can simply be planted in boxes or vases and put on a balcony. In a word, you can always come up with some original place to grow it.

Alissum. Cultivation of seeds is a flower - the most common option. Although some growers breed sprouts, but this process is more complex. So, look in the nearest flower shop and buy there seeds of the alissum. Buy depending on what area you are going to plant this beauty.

It is worth noting that this flower is unpretentious in growing and growing in almost any conditions. And still, the sunny side is preferable for the alissum, since in this case the most flowers are tied, and the flowering becomes very abundant.

After defining the place, loosen the soil and simply scatter the seeds in a chaotic order. You can sprinkle the earth lightly. Be sure to pour in and wait for sprouts to appear. Some pre-plant the seedlings of the alissum, and to some extent they are right, because they get bloom much earlier. But even if you immediately sow seeds in the open ground, it's okay. After a month and a half, the alissum will bloom.

Be sure to water the plants. Alyssum is extremely negative about the lack of moisture. Flowers melt, and with a long drought and completely wither. If suddenly this happened, then you can try to save the plant. Pour it, and cut the twigs off. In a couple of days, new processes should appear.

If you are interested in the moment, how long the alissum blooms, then I will answer the following: until the first freezing starts. By the way, for several days, even if there is a slight frost, the plant will please its own, even if it does not have such abundant flowering. It's not hard to take care of an alissum. Simply water and weed in a timely manner. It is desirable 1-2 times per season to fertilize fertilizer type "Rainbow" or "Agricola-7".

Alyssum, whose cultivation you already know, will please you with its beauty, fill the site with fragrance, and attract bees. So, if you have your bees, then it will be as never before.
