Alarms "Tomahawk" - instructions available language

Today we will talk about installing the "Tomahawk" alarm system. The instruction will be brought to you by the most accessible language. At the end of the installation we will get the protection of the car and remote start of the motor. All procedures will be performed on a Mazda car. But, as you know, the principle of installing this signaling on other machines is almost identical, with the exception of some nuances related to the features of a particular model, which can be learned from the operational literature accompanying the cars.

Siren

The first thing to do is install a siren in the hood. Keep in mind that it should be kept as far away as possible from sources of high temperature, do not expose to moisture, do not create obstacles during repair work, and also place the speaker in the direction of the ground.

We continue installing the "Tomahawk" alarm system. The instruction further recommends the installation of an end cap for the hood. Here you can use any hole that would be suitable for this purpose. Make sure that the tip has enough free running from below and does not rest against anything, and also provide reliable contact.

temperature sensor

Next, we need to install a temperature sensor, which is required in order to be able to carry out automatic warm-up of the car. How to configure the "Tomahawk" signaling for this, we are not considering yet, because now you need to complete the installation. This sensor should ideally be bolted to the cylinder block. This will make it possible to determine the more accurate temperature of the coolant. When it is installed, connect the black wire to the car's "mass", and the light one should be soldered to that which is moving away from the bonnet end (orange-gray).

Antenna

The next step in the "Tomahawk" alarm installation is to install the antenna. The best place for this, according to many, is the upper left corner on the windshield. After the antenna, set the LED where you like best.

Now we move on to more complex actions. The dashboard, the bottom cover and a cover of a steering column are removed . Further - the signal wire for opening the central lock must be closed to the "mass" directly, but the closing wire is closed to it, only through the resistance (no more than 1.5 kOhm).

Connection of central locks

Now you need to bring in a proper view of the central locking connector . Cut or simply roll black and blue and black-green wires, as they will not be used. But to the green, you need to solder the resistance with heat shrinkage. Further, what we have got is to be soldered with a blue wire, and gray-blue and gray-green are twisted and welded together. Now with the help of insulating tape everything is compactly fixed.

"Dive" under the central panel and find the relay of the central locks. As a rule, there are three of them, and we are most interested in it. Next, a gray wire with silver stripes is taken and soldered to the connector. The second, respectively, connect with the "mass".

Now take the main connector of the connections (18 PIN) and connect the wire that goes to the feet. As a rule, it is green with a white strip. Further under the device we find three connectors: two on the left, one on the right. We solder the wires there according to the scheme, after which we isolate them. In the same area, using a double-sided adhesive tape, attach the shock sensor.

Now remove the circuit of your ignition switch. There are two connectors, one of which is for four wires, the other for two. In the first blue-black - starter, blue goes to IG1, red-black goes to IG2, white-black - to ACC. The two-wire connector consists of two + 12V wires.

Remote start

We connect the power connector from the remote start: blue-black to yellow-black, and this connector must be between the lock relay and the starter. Then white-black to blue, blue to yellow from the connector, black-red to green from the same connector, and, finally, black to the red wire of the connector (thin and thick). Reds must last.

At this stage, it is not necessary to solder the wiring of the interlock relay to the power connector of the remote start. It is enough just to insulate. After installing the above relay, you must cut the blue-black wire. Since the relay has the numbering of connectors, we look carefully so that the starter wire is connected to the 87A, but 30 and 86 should approach the wire to the ignition switch. Yellow-black, which comes from the main connector of the alarm unit, with 85 also connect. Well, 87 remains superfluous.

Now all these connectors must be connected to the central unit, after which we connect the alarm to the car battery. As you know, before starting this procedure, the power supply must be disconnected to prevent short circuits and ignition of the wiring.

We proceed to the next stage of installing our "Tomahawk" alarm system. The instruction suggests to make programming of charms. This needs to be done so that the alarm system can see them. When this point is completed, proceed to the verification. First, we'll test the autorun. If the test is successful, we proceed to testing the central lock. If not - return to the previous paragraphs.

Doors

When the checks are carried out, you will find that, despite the car's closed doors, the key ring informs you that they are open. This is because we have not yet installed the limit switches on the door. This is done similarly to the installation of the end piece on the hood. We talked about this at the very beginning, so there is no point in telling all this again.

When we understood the doors, we turn to the final actions. Now it is necessary to solder and insulate the power wires that go to the ignition lock, as well as to the lock relay. Next, you need to carefully lay out the wires and fasten them so that they do not stick out anywhere and do not interfere with anything. Do not allow them to come into contact with sharp or pointed objects or surfaces, as these can damage the insulation layer.

Now we fix the main unit, we return the device and the rest of the panels to their places. We check again the operation of our alarm system. After that, configure, as you need, a shock sensor and other functions of interest to you. It is fair to note that in this way Tomahawk alarm 7010 (the instruction is almost identical) and 9010 can be installed.
