Actors who received an Oscar: a list with photos

Probably, there are no happier artists in the world than the actors who received the Oscar. The list of winners is renewed every year with new names. And it's a sin to hide: performers from all over the world dream of being in it. Who of the men became the lucky winner of the award in the last 10 years?

Actors who received an Oscar: a list with photos for 2016.

It begins with the last award ceremony, which took place in February 2016. Figurines were given to persons who distinguished themselves in cinematography in the past year. What are the names of the actors who received the Oscar recently?

A photo from the "Dolby Theater" flew around the world in a matter of minutes, when a historical event happened on the scene: for many years Leonardo DiCaprio's successful career was ignored by the jury of the film academy, but this time the actor still received the statuette. The coveted award went to him for an amazingly played role in the drama "Survivor".

This was the highlight of the event. It is symbolic that the artist received a prize for this project. After so many high-profile projects and many nominations, Leo still achieved his goal. Truly "survivor in Hollywood".

The best supporting actor was Mark Rylens. It was he who played the Soviet intelligence officer Rudolf Abel in the sensational drama of Steven Spielberg's "Spy Bridge". For Mark, it was a breakthrough: despite his advanced age, he distinguished himself with the role of Thomas Cromwell in the Wolf Hall and Thomas Boleyn in "Another of the Boleyns."

Oscar: actors - who got it? List for 2015

2014 was less sensational in terms of the film premiere. The best performer of the lead role was the young Eddie Redmayne for her work in the little-known picture "The Theory of Everything". Eddie is a Briton who has appeared in many Hollywood hits: "Another of Boleyn's kind", "False Temptation", "Golden Age" and "Les Miserables". But with the main roles the kid was not lucky. Biographical melodrama "Theory of Everything" has become a happy ticket for the actor to the main roles.

The best performer of the second plan was Jay Kay Simmons, who played Terence Fletcher in the psychological drama "Obsession". Speech in the project was about a young student, from which a tyrannical teacher decided to make a brilliant musician. On this ground, they had some differences, but in the finale the music united hearts. Jay Kay Simmons can not be called a world-class persona. There are not so many famous roles for the artist - unless the role of Gaza Pankeyka in the "Gentlemen's Games."

2014

The most discussed persons in March 2014 were the actors who received the Oscar. The list was opened by Matthew McConaughey, who played Ron Woodruff at the Dallas Club of Buyers. The film turned out to be scandalous and opened the veil behind which the lives of people with AIDS were hiding. In addition, the picture is biographical, because it was removed based on real events.

McConaughey surprised his fans with this role, because for her the artist had to lose more than 2 kg and get rid of his pumped muscles. The award for the role of the second plan was taken by Jared Leto, who in the same film played a homosexual dying from the immunodeficiency virus. On the home stretch for the victory, the actors had to bypass such celebrities as Christian Bale, Leonardo DiCaprio, Bradley Cooper and John Hill.

2013

At the 85th ceremony, held at the Dolby Theater, the palm was given to Daniel Day-Lewis, who in the biographical picture of Spielberg "Lincoln" received the main role. The film narrates about that time in the life of the 16th US president, when he enjoyed the greatest popularity: the end of the civil war was coming to an end and the law on the prohibition of slavery was passed. Before that, Day-Lewis received the Oscar twice: for participation in the bands "My Left Leg" and "Oil."

In America, the artist is well known and is called almost one of the greatest performers of our time. Daniel is an ardent admirer of the Stanislavsky system.

The second award was taken by Christophe Waltz, who played King Shultz in the Django of the Liberated. The creation of Quentin Tarantino was nominated for several more awards. The cast also included Leonardo DiCaprio and Samuel L. Jackson. Christoph Waltz of all the participants was the least known. Although admirers of Tarantino's creativity can remember him as the cruel Standartenfuhrer SS in "Inglourious Basterds."

2012

At the 2012 ceremony, Natalie Portman presented the award for the main role to Jean Dujardin, who starred in 2011 in a black and white film "Artist". The film surprised the European audience in order, as it was a voluntary step a whole century ago: director Michel Hazanavicius took a silent colorless picture without any special effects. Romantic melodrama narrated about the amusing story that occurred with the star of silent cinema. George Valentine once helped a young statist to make a stunning career in Hollywood. In the most difficult moment for him Peppy Miller answered him the same and returned his old friend to the big movie.

Christopher Plummer took the second award of the best actor for the execution of the character in the background in the tragicomedy "Beginners". Plummer is also famous for his roles in the films "12 Monkeys", "Treasure of the Nation" and "Mind Games".

2011

At the ceremony in 2011, awards were awarded for the achievements of actors in 2010. Many creators and participants in three projects - "Black Swan", "King says" and "Social Network", carried away many of the figurines.

The best actor was recognized as Colin Firth, who played King George VI in the tragicomedy "The King Speaks." The artist managed to bypass Javier Bardem and Jesse Eisenberg. The award for the successful role of the second plan was carried away by the famous Christian Bale: the critics were impressed by his play in the sports drama "The Fighter".

2010

Are there any actors in Hollywood who received an Oscar? The list by years is increased by two new names. In 2009, Jeff Bridges (the star of the movie "Crazy Heart") and Christoph Waltz (star of the film "Inglourious Basterds") entered their history in the history of cinema.

2009

Until the ceremony in 2009, not all the actors who received the Oscar survived. The list was replenished with the winner who received the posthumous award. The statuette went to Hit Ledger, who very originally embodied the role of the Joker in the production of Christopher Nolan "The Dark Knight". The ceremony took place in February, and the actor was found dead in his apartment just one month before. It turned out that for the past few years, Ledger was sitting on tranquilizers and painkillers. Because of the unsuccessful mixing of drugs, the artist's lungs were refused.

For the main role in the drama "Harvey Milk" was awarded Sean Penn. For him, this statuette was the second.

2008

The list of actors who received an Oscar for the main role, included a year earlier, Daniel Day-Lewis and Javier Bardem. Daniel distinguished himself on the set of the epic drama "Oil". He had to compete with such stars as George Clooney, Johnny Depp, Tommy Lee Jones and Viggo Mortensen.

Javier Bardem played Anton Chigur in the thriller of the Coen brothers "To the old people there is no place". The tape received 8 nominations for "Oscar", and won in four.

2007

February 25, 2007 for the next ceremony were invited and performers-nominees, and actors who received the Oscar. The list of applicants for the award was announced by the leading Ellen Degeneres and her star assistants.

It turned out that the best male role was played by Forest Whitaker in the historical drama "The Last King of Scotland". Whitaker is also known for his roles in the series "North and South", the drama "Good Morning, Vietnam" and the thriller "The Hostage-3".

The role of the second plan was brilliantly played by Alan Arkin in the film "Little Miss Happiness". Arkin was nominated for an Oscar four times: in 67th for his role in the comedy "The Russians Are Coming!", In the 69th for his role in the film "The Heart of a Lone Hunter". After the victory in 2007, there was another nomination for participation in the film "Operation Argo".

Soviet and Russian cinematographers also managed to hold a statuette in their hands, but it was a long time ago. Who are they, the Russian actors who received the Oscar?

The list is limited to only 4 names, and then it's about the directors, not the performers. But by a fluke, three of the winners in combination are also actors. It is about the following persons.

1. Sergei Bondarchuk represented the Soviet Union at the ceremony in 1968 with the painting "War and Peace". In the same tape, the director and actor happened to play Pierre Bezukhov.

2. Japanese Akira Kurosawa in the 75th year received an "Oscar" for a picture of joint production with the USSR - "Dersu Uzala."

3. Vladimir Menshov, who successfully combines the acting and directing profession, won in 1981 with the picture "Moscow does not believe in tears".

4. The success of his Soviet colleagues in 1994 was repeated by Nikita Mikhalkov with his drama "Burnt by the Sun".
