A set for fondue: tasty and simple!

Fondue is not just a delicious dish, but also a certain ritual associated with communication. The food from the so-called "one bowler" unites those sitting at the table and is very conducive to a leisurely and friendly conversation. In literal translation, the French word "fondre" means "to heat, melt", which fully describes the dish in all its variations. The history of the appearance of fondue is about seven centuries.

It is considered that this special dish was invented by the Swiss shepherds, who decided to cook a hot dinner out of cheese and bread on an open fire. As a result, they got a delicious and hearty dish. Today, a set for fondue is in almost every European family. Thanks to these devices and the joint preparation of such a special dish, conversation is easily tied at any table and a warm atmosphere reigns.

A modern set for fondue preparation is a set consisting of a container for a mixture, a stand with a burner and forks. In this case, all of the listed dishes can be made of a wide variety of materials: cast iron, ceramics, clay and steel. Each of these materials is good in its own way for cooking a particular type of dish. And even if the container intended for the broth has become unusable, there is no need to be upset.

If there is an alcohol lamp and a stand included in the fondue set, then you can always purchase cookware and cutlery. Thus, in a house for one standard burner there may be utensils of different materials intended for making chocolate, cheese, meat or fish fondue.

For example, a ceramic fondue set is usually used for making chocolate and cheese dishes. For meat dishes, the use of ceramics is no longer worthwhile, since cheese and chocolate require a much more moderate temperature than meat. More universal in this sense are fondue sets made of cast iron or stainless steel. In them, it is even possible to additionally heat the mixture on a conventional electric cooker before being directly installed on the burner or by feeding it to the table.

Thanks to this opportunity, many housewives first melt the cheese in a conventional cooking pot on the stove, and after that pour it into the fondue's capacity - all this helps to avoid overheating and at times reduce cooking time. If we talk about iron pottery for fondue, the broths cooked in such a container have a more intense taste and aroma and retain heat longer.

You can buy a set for fondue in any specialized store offering various products for home and rest. In addition, you can look at the shopping centers, which feature a variety of kitchen utensils. The cost for these products will be very different - it all depends on the manufacturer, the material of production and the availability of additional cutlery, plates, serving cups or saucepans, which can be included.
