A drum machine against a drummer

A drum machine is a special mechanism, by the computer processing and playback method, a copying function of almost any drum rhythm that a person can play. It includes an extremely powerful sound card, microprocessor, operative and physical memory, which allows not only to program it to the desired rhythm and sound, but also to store the finished designs on the hard disk. The drum machine itself does not reproduce the sound and largely depends on how well you connect the quality speakers or combi. But is it worth to say that with the advent of the first "electronic drama", drummers from blood and flesh began to "sharply fall in value" and, as a result, some revulsion against this miracle of technology arose in the environment of these. So, if you want to make yourself out of your friend who plays the drums - give him a drum machine and enjoy the effect!

A drum machine or a living person?

The question arises: if these computers are indeed so good, then why do we need drummers at all? But it's not so simple. Drum machines can only give out a pre-determined combination of rhythm and sounds, respectively, neither during rehearsals nor at a concert are any tricks or improvisations from them to be expected. In addition, a live performer is always a brighter and more juicy sound, it is always shocking and popular among fans. After all, what will be appreciated by the fans: the music recorded on the typewriter or the fact that you and the band can play independently? This is especially true in rock music, where very much attention is paid to "live" performance and fans of a group are more likely to forgive their beloved performers "shoals and bloopers rather than playing" under the plywood. "In this case, the use of a large number of machines, Replacing musicians, will be regarded by the listener as a deception and, accordingly, to achieve success will be much more difficult.

To be fair, although the drum machine does not replace the drummer, but at the same time, many musicians use it, tuning a certain rhythm and supplementing it independently, which allows creating more interesting and vibrant music. Those who do not want to spend extra money often use virtual drum machines, on which you can write down the melody that has arisen in your mind, in order not to lose it. Strictly speaking, these devices are used most often as a notebook. A virtual drum machine allows a drummer not to learn a musical notation, to write everything in a notebook, or to keep it in his head. In their functions, they resemble a guitar pedal, thanks to which he can switch and change the sound effects, creating a real show. The process is simplified to disgrace!

The cost of such a miracle can be different (depending on the quality, firm and functional). On average, an ordinary drum machine for rehearsals in the garage will cost you 4-6 thousand rubles, while a professional (concert) typewriter will cost five or even ten times more! But in this case, the price is not everything, because, of course, the machines of such popular companies as Yamaha will cost much more than domestic or American counterparts, although the quality will not yield to it one iota.
