Nissan Armada (the first name was Pathfinder Armada) is the first full-size (eight- or seven-seater) SUV in the US history. He made his debut in 2003, in the autumn.

In 2004, Nissan officially announced that since 2005 these SUVs will be called simply Armada. Representatives of the company explained this by the fact that the model has already established itself in the market and can leave without consequences from under the wing of Pathfinger.

Nissan Armada is based on the Titan pickup. Exactly from it there were impressive sizes, a steel frame and weight practically 2,5 tons. But on this the similarities of the two cars do not end. For example, the exterior (especially the front part) is borrowed in many details from Nissan Titan. But the powerful headlights, inflated hood, radiator grille with branded lintel, as well as a bumper with chrome elements give this SUV credibility. You can also note the vertical arrangement of the grips of the doors and the shape of the original roof, in the central part of which there is a bend.

Anyone's spacious interior can impress with its size. With the comfort of the Nissan Armada can accommodate seven adult people of average build. Yes, and space for feet abound. And the seats in the second row, it is convenient to sit down.

For each seat there are fixtures, individual ventilation, seat belts. Also there are small and comfortable side tables. If we talk about the driver's place, it can be noted that almost all attributes are borrowed from the car Nissan Titan.

The driver's seat and the front passenger seat can be adjusted by electric drive in six directions. In addition, the chairs are equipped with multi-level heating. There are also in the car the Nissan Armada power steering, navigation display (seven inches) and buttons for controlling climate control. The engine offers only one - a new eight-cylinder all-aluminum Endurance of 5.600 liters capacity. And a capacity of 305 hp. This power unit is paired with a five-speed automatic transmission with electronic control. For greater comfort, the Nissan Armada installed independent front and rear suspension on the transverse dual arms, with stability stabilizer, hydraulic shock absorbers and coil springs.

The safety system consists of: ABS with an electric distribution of braking forces between the two axles, front airbags, EBD, side curtains, mounted in the seats of all rows.

Depending on the conditions, you can choose one of the types of transmission. Nissan Armada 2012 allows you to use the full, and rear-wheel drive.
