What is the strongest beer in the world?

The debate about what is the strongest beer in the world, people have been leading for a long time. Rather, its competitors compete with each other. The state of affairs changes every year, but this only inflames passions.

The result of competition

The race for degrees between brewers has been going on for a long time. It forces specialists to look for new solutions in order to achieve the desired result and create the strongest beer in the world. It should be noted that not all fans of foam drink support such a competition. Many believe that he first of all should refresh and cheer up. It's a nice hot day to take in the hands of a sweated bottle and slowly absorb the fragrant coolness, enjoying every sip. But about pleasure everyone has their own ideas. For some, 6-8 percent is considered the fortress limit, and another 20 percent is small. It is this fact that has become the most important reason for producers around the world. The best professionals came to work, who tried to implement their most unusual ideas. The top of perfection in 2013 reached the master of the famous company Brewmeister from Scotland.

They released the world's strongest beer called Snake Venom, which means "Snake Venom". The alcohol content in this drink reached 67.5 percent, which allowed him to take a leading position.

Ways to win

It should be noted that the Scottish Brewmaster brewery did not immediately come to this result. Literally a year earlier she had already introduced her new product under the awesome title "Armageddon". In 2012, when everyone was just talking about the end of the world, he was especially relevant and made a real sensation. Having 65% of alcohol, this product was recognized as the strongest beer in the world. The drink had some success. Over the following year, the company sold about six thousand bottles, which is a little more than 200 decaliters. This figure could be much greater if it were not for a fabulous price. One bottle of this 330 milliliter beer cost about a hundred dollars. The value is quite significant for a mass buyer. But some amateurs, of course, could afford it. The maker of a wonderful beer, young entrepreneur Lewis Shand argued that his goal was to make something new and adventurous. And his "Armageddon" brewer considers a gift to all people of the planet from good Scots.

Answer of Russian Brewers

In Russia they also like beer. True, our people prefer more familiar options. A Russian person in this matter is more conservative. At present it is even difficult to name the strongest beer in Russia. Each plant offers the buyer a fairly wide range of its products. But most of them rarely cross the border of eight percent. Among domestic producers it is possible to single out the company "Baltika" separately. Her "Nine", which appeared on the shelves in the late nineties, is still considered by many to be one of the best options for strong beer.

Do not forget about the foreign tycoons who operate in common with some Russian enterprises. For example, Heineken. Her new brand "Hunting", produced at Russian breweries, in 2007 was recognized as the first in our country in terms of sales among beer fortified. Recently, under this brand, even a sample appeared, which contains 10 percent of alcohol.

Common opinion

The world has adopted a single classification, according to which products produced by breweries are conventionally divided into three types:

1) Those that are produced by bottom-fermentation. They are also called "lagers".

2) Made by the method of horse fermentation. This includes: ale, stout, porter and wheat beer.

3) Mixed.

That is, the separation according to the grades goes exactly according to the mode of fermentation. This is generally accepted. In this case, the question arises, which ones are considered to be the strongest beers? Here it is difficult to answer unequivocally. There is an opinion that the camp is necessarily a light beer, which means it is a light beer. Accordingly, ale or porter is dark and strong. But this is not true. There is no direct relationship between the fermentation method and the color of the finished beverage. The amount of alcohol depends only on the product itself.

If we talk about the traditional way of production, then one of the strongest is the Austrian beer Samiklaus. Despite the fact that the product itself is a lager, its fortress reaches 14 percent.

Recognized leaders

Producers around the world constantly compete with each other, figuring out what the strongest beer is. At the beginning of this year, you can name the top ten representatives who deserve such a title:

  1. In the last place, the beer "Baladin" from the Italian Tao Musso with a fortress of 40 percent. A bottle of this drink costs $ 35.
  2. On the ninth, the product with the unusual name "Flood of Bismarck". It is made in Scotland at the brewery "Bryudog". Alcohol in it a little more - 41 percent.
  3. On the eighth - "Shorshbok 43". The beer is made in Germany and costs 150 dollars a bottle on the world market.
  4. The seventh in the list in ascending is the Dutch "Obelisk". Specialists of the company "Cool Ship" decided to break the record of their predecessors and made the product a fortress of 45 percent.
  5. In the sixth place is the beer "The End of History". 55 percent of alcohol is the answer of "Briudog" to his Dutch colleagues. True, the volume of the batch was limited to only 12 bottles. It is interesting that each of them was inserted into a scarecrow of natural protein.
  6. In the fifth place is "Shorshbok 57". The German company decided to raise the bar and outrun its rivals. 57 percent is a record for the German industry, given their strict laws. The product was manufactured in small quantities (36 bottles). This is understandable, because each of them was estimated at 275 dollars.
  7. On the fourth - the product "Start the Future", which became a continuation of the famous "Obelisk". 60 percent of the fortress is a serious bid to win in 2010.
  8. The top three opens "Armageddon" and its 65 percent.
  9. The second place is Snake Venom. So called their product a strength of 67.5 percent of the Scots.
  10. The victory was still won by the Dutch.
Their "Secret of beer" and 70 percent of alcohol were inaccessible. Thus, the "Cool Ship" has regained its position.

Treasured figure

In a large flow of information it is sometimes difficult to determine. Some argue that beer can not be more than 14 percent. Others demonstrate the product in which this figure reached the bar of 70. Most people, when talking about beer, do not quite understand how the result of the usual fermentation process can result in a product whose strength exceeds even the famous Cuban rum. Where is it, right? How many degrees in the strongest beer? Indeed, the traditional way to get such results is impossible. Therefore, brewers go on tricks and use all sorts of innovations. A new Dutch product few people ever had a chance to try, but "Snake Venom" is already quite familiar. 67.5 percent is the result of long-term work of Scottish specialists.

According to the producers themselves, this beer is made using two different types of yeast and a special smoked (smoked on peat) malt. This gave him a pleasant malty taste. A fortress was obtained by freezing the semi-finished product during its fermentation. The result was quite good.

Centuries-old traditions

Czechia has long been considered one of the most famous beer powers. Many tourists, coming to this country, consider it their duty to visit specialized restaurants and try real Czech beer. Being in such institution, eyes run from the number of proposed names. It becomes interesting, but what is the strongest beer in the Czech Republic? I must say that the locals are supporters of traditional methods of making such a drink. It is believed that this is how you can make a real beverage of high quality. But in recent years they have moved away from their rules a little and started using non-standard technologies. True, such innovations relate primarily to the processing of raw materials. Currently the following varieties are most popular in the country:

  1. Budweiser.
  2. "Goat".
  3. Gambrinus
  4. "Pilsner."

They all contain no more than 5 percent alcohol. Most Czech beer lovers believe that this is quite enough.
