Volkswagen Passat B8: version of 2015

According to official information, which was distributed by representatives of the German car manufacturer, Volkswagen, in July this year the latest model Passat-B8 will be presented. The release date of the serial version has not yet been specified. Along with this, motorists and connoisseurs of the brand have all the prerequisites to hope that the novelty can be seen during the exhibition, which will be held in October in Paris.

For its production, it is planned to use a hot-formed alloy of aluminum and steel with increased strength. This is connected with a decrease in fuel consumption novelty. It is expected that it will be reduced by about twenty percent.

Key innovation

Without a doubt, the most important engineering solution, which will be different for the new Volkswagen Passat B8, will be the introduction of a four-cylinder diesel power unit in the line of engines, the volume of which will be two liters. It will be equipped with two turbines, in connection with which the plant will be able to develop a capacity of 240 "horses". It should be noted and the fact that its maximum power, as well as torque, can be reached already at around 1750 rpm. As for the transmission, this version of the engine will function in conjunction with the DSG box for seven steps, which was developed quite recently. In addition, the company will equip the car with an all wheel drive system, known as 4MOTION.

The car will demonstrate decent acceleration characteristics. At the same time, such an indicator as profitability will not be affected. The interior of the novelty will become more spacious in comparison with its predecessor. In addition, the passengers located in the rear seats, there will be more free legroom. The dashboard will become completely digital. On the front panel in the Passat B8 2015 model year is planned to install a configurable touch screen, the size of which is 12.3 inches. It should be noted that this parameter exceeds even the size of many modern computer tablets. In addition, the cabin will have many new different buttons and elements for electronic control.
