Systematic checks and monitoring of any changes in weather conditions in most cases can prevent irreversible consequences. "Notification to Mariners" is a periodic official publication with a frequency of 48 issues per year, which notifies the command in the sea about the navigation situation and its changes, the mode of navigation.

Main tasks

Notification to mariners, first of all, is intended to notify the command of the ship, which is for a long time in the sea or crosses the waters of other states, about changes in navigation, for correcting maps and swimming aids. The totality of such knowledge helps the ship's management to follow a given course, while not violating the laws and choosing the shortest routes.
Requires accuracy, correctness and timeliness such a publication as "Notice to Mariners". The Ministry of Defense closely monitors each issue. They are published weekly, on Saturdays, each assigned its own serial number. There are up to 200 independent issues. Each issue includes a list of maps, guides and manuals, the latest changes. First of all, the list of maps is given. Secondly, the lots, followed by a description of all the lights and signs in order of increasing their admiral numbering. "Notice to the Mariners" has several sections. In the "Sequence of Arrangement", the names of the seas, oceans and their districts are usually indicated, opposite which are the pages of the issue indicating the location of notifications pertaining to a particular area.
