UAZ "Kozel": the description of an off-road car

UAZ "Kozel" is a legendary off-road vehicle of Soviet manufacture. Produced until 2003 at the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant. History

Solutions were issued in which they followed the original design.

Production continued until January next year. During this period, about five thousand SUVs were produced. The plant decided instead of UAZ-469 to produce "Hunter Classic", which costs significantly more than its predecessor.

Design

The engine in the car uses 4-cylinder UMZ-451MI for 2.5 liters. The power is 75 hp. For refueling, petrol A76 or A72 is used. The basis is a dry grip on one disc. Installed 4-speed gearbox. For fuel, two tanks of thirty-nine liters are used. On 100 kilometers of a way 16 liters of gasoline (speed of 90 km / h) are spent.

The car can carry up to 7 passengers and 100 kilograms of luggage or 2 and 600 kilograms of luggage. It is capable of towing a trailer weighing 850 kilograms.

In 1985, the SUV was modernized and acquired a new prefix in the name. Now the clutch had a hydraulic drive. Cardan shafts with more dense bearings were installed. The headlights were also renewed. In 1978, a new Soviet SUV took part in an autocross, which was held in Italy. In the tournament he became the best, taking first place, for which he received the "Silver Jack" award.

In early June 2010, UAZ-469 set a new world record. The car accommodated 32 people, the total weight of which was 1900 kilograms. With this cargo the SUV drove 10 meters, becoming the most capacious in the world.
