How to tie a blanket in an antique style?

You need to start with the preparation of tools and material. Choose the color scheme for the base plaid. Threads should not be thin, so that it turned out to be warm and quickly passed such a process as crocheting. Square motifs are separate parts of the future blanket. They are of the same type, but they can differ in color. In our case, the remnants of multi-colored yarn are used to decorate the middle of each square. In total it is necessary to make not less than 48 pieces. Although, depending on the thickness of the thread and the density of knitting, a square hook motif can be made smaller or larger in size. Therefore, it will be necessary to adjust the number of parts after the test sample has been removed. Hook choose at least number 3,5, so that the cloth was not too tight.

How to connect square motifs crochet? The diagrams are very simple and can be clearly seen in the photographs. We start with the ring to tighten it.

We untangle 12 columns with a double crochet.

Next we add 6 columns with a double crochet in 4 places - we use threads of the main color.

Thus, the square motif begins to form.

Hook the next layer, consisting of an alternation of 6 columns with a double crochet and 6 columns with a single crochet.

The last series is similar.

The first part is finished. On this pattern we knit the remaining elements of the blanket.

After all the parts have been completed, proceed to assembly. Connecting each square motif, crochet the air loops (grab them as shown in the photo).

The details are put face to face.

Connect each pair of squares to another pair, and so on. As a result, you get a whole canvas.

The finished look of the blanket will be given by the rim, which not only aligns it, but becomes its decoration. In our case, the delicate edging is knitted according to the following scheme. The first row - columns without a crochet, the second - a column with a double crochet through one loop + air. The third row - columns with a double crochet. The fourth (last) - the fetching of the festoons according to the scheme: 5 columns without a crochet + 12 stakes with a double crochet in the 3rd loop. Kaimu can be made to your liking.
