The fast death of a beloved husband without repentance and communion so shocked Xenia that, from the point of view of her family, she began to commit "insane" deeds. By giving away all the property to poor people, including her house, she devoted her life to the slandering of her husband's sins, which he did not have time to beg, having chosen a strange way for those around him.

Assuring that her husband is alive, she went about dressing him, responded only to his name and prayed, prayed. Residents of the city first drove her, and then got used to the holy fool at the temple of the Apostle Matthew. Without doing any harm to anyone, she asked the Lord and for them and distributed the money received to other beggars. Over time, people noticed that the warmed and fed Xenia received from God a hundredfold. Things went uphill, the sick loved ones recovered, the hearted affairs got better.

When the church was closed for the night, Xenia went to pray in the field. Standing on her knees in winter and praying to the Almighty, she acquired the gift of clairvoyance, which she generously shared with others. Blessed Xenia loved people, helped them, than she could, without asking anything for herself. People believed her, asked for help, asked for intercession. Many good deeds are described in her life. Among others - anonymous help at night to the builders of the church in the Smolensk cemetery in St. Petersburg, where she was buried, who died at 71. Already there is no that church, the chapel, set in the memory of Xenia, is destroyed, and people, having built a new one, are still going to her grave with a plea for help.
