The film "Left Behind" - reviews are intriguing

Fantastic thriller drama "Left Behind" is filmed for a whole cycle of books by Tim LaHay and Jerry B. Jenkins, who first after the closed show called him the best of the films about the Ascension. With this authoritative statement it is difficult enough not to agree, but it is worthwhile to clarify: the film about Ascension is extremely small, and the few that are, artless and straightforward, are like a Baptist sermon. Against the background of the above pictures, the film "Left Behind", reviews of which are extremely contradictory, looks like an intriguing polyhedral canvas.

Intrigue without a secret

The intrigue of the painting is strictly confidential, since it reveals itself almost from the very first scene where one of the religious fanatics pierces the reporter with a sermon (Chad Michael Murray) at the airport. The film "Left Behind", whose plot stands slightly apart from the established laws of film drama, is full of a moralizing tone of narration and intrusive didacticism. There is no right to doubt, all heroes are strictly divided into three categories: "blessed believers", "real sinners" (looters, murderers, robbers) and "lost souls", who eventually find the way to heavenly grace. That's how the film "Left Behind" turned out to be directed by director Vick Armstrong. Reviews of film critics about the work in general are sustained in a neutral, less often enthusiastic manner, even in spite of the shortcomings of the artistic plan, the limited budget and musical accompaniment, which frankly disappoints in the climaxes.

The plot without embellishment

The film "Left Behind", whose main actors are known to everyone - it's Cassie Thompson and Nicolas Cage, has a fairly straightforward storyline. One of the main characters, Chloe, returns from college to her native penates, the same day her father Raiford goes on a flight to London (he's an airplane). But as soon as the plane gained altitude, strange things began to happen: the co-pilot, several passengers, including all the children, seemed to dissolve in the air. The same phenomenon happens all over the world, and while Rayford tries to calm the panicking passengers and regain control over the damaged plane, Chloe, stunned by the fact that her younger brother has also disappeared, runs home. And Ray has a very hard time, the plane gets a hole, fuel flows, there is nowhere to land. It seems that all absolutely air traffic controllers were inveterate righteous and ascended in the forefront, so there is no connection with the land. On the other hand, the film "Left Behind" is still a disaster, and the director manages to conform to the canons of the genre at certain moments. It was quite difficult for Vic Armstrong, because the script of the picture is based on real biblical prophecies, it was necessary to contrive to explain to the ignorant in religious questions the meaning, and most importantly - the essence of what is happening.

Not screening

The film adaptation of the film "Abandoned" (reviews of moral and religious audiences confirm this) is difficult to name. The plot line of the series of novels begins with those events on which the film ends, so the most fascinating and interesting in the picture is missing. If the viewer tries to find sacred reasoning about the Kingdom of Heaven, religion and basic biblical postulates, he still needs to read the original before viewing.

The doctrines of Christianity correspond

The film still corresponds to the doctrines of Christianity, this is confirmed only by the phrase of the pastor who, when asked why God did not take him first to himself, answers: "Our actions are not important, the main thing is to believe and pray for forgiveness." Enough strongly! Just the basic idea of the messages of the holy Apostle Paul. That's just not very clear advertising move PR specialists paintings that are placed in the social. Networks poster with the signature of Satan: "Do not bring people to the session of unbelievers." Or another variant of advertising that says: "You will not be ready, because you do not think at what hour the Son of Man will come" - almost a line from the Gospel.

The film is watchable

Most likely, spoiled by modern high-budget blockbusters to the viewer, the film "Left Behind" (reviews screaming about it) will seem like a low-grade film, such an average "B" category, but it can be looked at without experiencing annoying discomfort. There are no special complaints about directing, although Armstrong can not be called a seasoned representative of this profession. The camera work of Jack N. Green deserves praise. The famous actors - the languid handsome Nicolas Cage and the enchantress Martin Klebba - played great, but that does not mean that the secondary characters were embarrassed, on the contrary, they also created colorful characters and played quite reliably. Chad Michael Murray, Cassie Thompson pleasantly surprise, and nice Nikki Whelan would be useful for the category "A" films.
