The drug "Teveten." Instructions

Teveten is an antihypertensive drug, an antagonist of angiotensin II receptors. The medication is available in tablet form. Tablets of 400 mg are covered with a light pink coat, they are biconvex, oval. On one side there is an engraving "SOLVAY", on the other - "5044". On tablets "Teveten 600" on one side is engraved "SOLVAY", on the other - "5046".

The drug has a selective effect on angiotensin receptors, which are in the heart, adrenal cortex, blood vessels, kidneys, forming a strong connection with them with a slow subsequent dissociation.

Teveten recommends the use of the instructions for hypertension. The drug is taken orally, regardless of food intake.

Teveten instructions for use recommends in a dosage of 600 mg once a day, in the mornings.

For patients with hepatic insufficiency and elderly patients, selection of an initial dose is not required.

With renal failure in a day should not take more than 600 mg.

The instruction attached to the "Teveten" preparation allows its long-term use.

Cases of drug overdose are described in clinical practice insufficiently. When taken orally, the medication is usually well tolerated.

Efficacy is noted when taking in daily dosages of up to 1.2 for eight weeks. The studies did not show the dependence of the frequency of adverse reactions on the dose.

The most likely sign of an overdose is a marked decrease in blood pressure. Symptomatic therapy is indicated in this condition.

The instruction attached to the "Teveten" preparation does not allow its admission during the prenatal period and during lactation. When diagnosing pregnancy during treatment, the medication should be canceled, warning the woman of the likely undesirable manifestations. If it is necessary to carry out therapy while breastfeeding, lactation should be stopped.

Taking the drug may cause mild, short-term adverse reactions. According to the conducted studies, the manifestation of undesirable effects required the abolition of the medication in only 4.1% of patients.

To the side manifestations of the action of the drug "Teveten" the instruction refers asthenia, dizziness, itching, headache, rash, angioedema, urticaria, swelling of the face, cough.

Contraindicated in children (up to eighteen years of age), with hypersensitivity.

With bilateral bilateral stenosis in the renal arteries (or arteries of the only kidney), a decrease in the BCC (circulating blood volume) against diarrhea, vomiting, or diuretics at elevated dosages, with severe heart failure, medication is prescribed with extreme caution.

The transient lowering of blood pressure is not considered to be the reason for canceling teveten. In this case, the pressure is stabilized at subsequent receptions.

Before prescribing the medication, patients with renal insufficiency, and also regularly throughout the therapy, should have control over the kidney function. If there is a deterioration, the therapy should be reviewed.

For the period of treatment, patients are advised to exercise caution when carrying out activities related to the rapidity of psychomotor reactions, increased attention. This is due to the likelihood of developing weakness or dizziness.

Teveten is allowed to be taken together with thiazide diuretics (including hydrochlorothiazide including), hypolipidemic medications (including simvastatin, lovastatin, nicotinic acid, gemfibrozil, fenofibrate, paravastatin), calcium channel blocking agents (with nifedipine prolonged action including) .
