Ointment with antibiotic as a remedy for the treatment of acne

Currently, a very popular means of acne among young people are antibiotics. This is due to their high effectiveness in treatment. Antibiotics against acne are of external and internal reception. In the mild form of acne is usually used topical preparations, and when the large area of the skin is affected and the pustules predominate, antibiotics are applied inside.

Erythromycin, Tetracycline, Clindamycin, Lincomycin and Jozamycin are commonly used to treat acne. In pregnancy, it is not recommended to use these medications, except for the medicine "Erythromycin".

Ointment with antibiotic tetracycline group has advantages among other categories. The fact is that such a drug has lipophilicity and is able to quickly reach the main subject of action - the sebaceous glands. In addition, it can be used in a small dose for a long period - for 2-3 months. Such an ointment from acne will block the main link in the development of inflammation - the production of bacterial lipases. One of the significant advantages of external antibiotic use is the possibility of their continued use without adversely affecting the composition of the intestinal flora.

Topical application of the above drugs is productive only for mild acne, especially in combination of these drugs with retinoids, zinc or benzoyl peroxide. 1% ointment with antibiotic erythromycin has a good effect only when combined with other internal or external medicines. The gel with clindamycin "Dalatsin T" produced by the USA possesses the greatest efficiency. It is convenient to use the preparation "Eryderm", which contains 2% erythromycin solution. For cauterization and drying of individual rashes, alcohols such as boric, levomycetin and resorcinol are also used. Very effective drug Zinerit (Netherlands) - a solution of zinc acetate and erythromycin. Another highly effective preparation of the US "Benzamycin", containing erythromycin and benzoyl peroxide, can be used as an ointment for acne on the back and face. All of the above medicines are applied twice a day.

An ointment with an antibiotic, as well as taking medications inside, is usually ineffective in secondary use.

A very successful and advanced approach to treatment is the use of benzoyl peroxide. Inflicted on the skin, under the influence of air, this drug decomposes into inactive benzoic acid and peroxide. Active compounds of oxygen have a damaging effect on the walls of bacteria, destroying them. In addition, the action of the drug helps to reduce the content of fatty acids, which helps to prevent inflammation. Means with the content of benzoyl peroxide do not have any effect on the gums, so they are not used in treatment with their predominance. In this case, a good effect is a combination of topical topical application of benzoyl peroxide in the morning and "Retinoic Ointment" medication in the evening.

It should be remembered that an ointment with an antibiotic will help get rid of the problem quickly and effectively, but not forever. Acne occurs repeatedly in 30% of cases, and they can appear even in a more severe form.

And, of course, remember that the right drug can be chosen only by a specialist. Therefore, do not conduct experiments on your health, but be sure to consult a doctor.
