The Republic of Poland is located in a temperate climatic zone. The climate is gradually changing from sea to continental. Over the territory of the country are numerous air masses. Because of this, the weather is very volatile, the climate is quite diverse. This creates some difficulties in forecasting further weather. Because of the collision of air masses and atmospheric differences in different years, it can be different. Also important for the formation of Poland's climate is the relief of the country, which accelerates the movement of air above the territory.

Not the last place in the list of influencing factors is the geographic location of the state, which is characterized by a significant distance from large reservoirs, as well as the neighboring vast territories. Influence and air masses coming from the Black and Mediterranean seas.

In Poland there are also unusual precipitations. In history, a fact is known when, in 1901, a cloud of dark brown rain came from the cloud that came from the Sahara. And in seventy years a part of the country was covered with orange snow for the same reason.

Winter is mostly wet and mild, and summer is warm. In summer the temperature ranges from +16 in the coastal regions and up to +19 in the south of the country, the average temperature reaches eighteen degrees. In January, average temperatures range from -1 on the coast and up to -4 in the northeast.

In February, the temperature is -3 degrees. Since the spring months, it rises and already in March is +2. In April, it reaches eight degrees of heat, and in May - fourteen. In summer, as mentioned above, it rises no higher than nineteen degrees. In June - seventeen, in July - nineteen, in August - eighteen. In September, it drops again to fourteen, in October - to eight, and in November - only three degrees of heat. In December, it drops to -1.

Regional climate

The weather changes not only by months. Below we consider the climate of Poland by region.

In Poland there are six climatic regions:

  • Mountain systems Sudeten and Carpathians are characterized by a large amount of snow and sunny winter.
  • The peculiarity of the Shlenskaya lowland and the Podkarpac valley is warm summer and a long period of vegetation. In the valley frosty winter, and in the lowlands - soft.
  • For the Lubelskaya, Malopolska Plains and Roztoche are characterized by a cold winter and a warm summer.
  • The Mazowiecka and Velkopol lowlands are characterized by mild winters.
  • Lakes - here the weather is colder than in any other regions.
  • The Baltic coast is characterized by cool spring and warm autumn.

Proceeding from the foregoing, it can be said that the climate of Poland, although generally and moderately, but quite variable in the whole country.
