The best beaches in Thailand: photos, reviews

When cold, rains and sometimes frosts come to our country in November, a period of unbearable heat and endless downpours ends in Thailand, and fine weather sets in until March. It is for this reason that thousands of tourists from our country go on holiday to Thailand.

What is attractive for a beach holiday in Thailand?

The coast of Thailand stretches for thousands of kilometers. It is washed by the waters of the Andaman and South China (in the Gulf of Thailand) seas. It is so diverse that absolutely every guest will find a paradise for himself: a lover of comfort, and a fan of "wild" rest.

And on numerous islands the beaches of Thailand are simply delicious. This is explained simply - to get to the islands more difficult than to the resorts located on the mainland. For this it is necessary to sail on the ferry, there are fewer tourists, therefore, the sea and the coast are not so spoiled by civilization.

There are several hundred beaches in the country, so we will not even try to talk about everyone. We will confine ourselves to a few - imagine the best beaches in Thailand that attract tourists. We will introduce you to both world famous resorts, and less popular, but equally wonderful.

The best beaches of Thailand: Jomtien (Pattaya)

This wonderful place is in Pattaya - the most visited by the Russian tourists resort of Thailand. The city is attractive cheap for everything: food, shopping, hotels. There are always a lot of people vacationing here. Therefore, it is better to go on vacation to the Jomprien area, which is a few kilometers to Pattaya.

Here it is much calmer, people are much smaller, very close to the coast, the picturesque green meadows begin. If you ask: "What are the best beaches in Thailand?", 90% of tourists will call you this beach. Throughout the year, you can comfortably rest here, since there is no rainy season in this area, the sea is almost always calm, there are no outflows characteristic of many other resorts, when water leaves more than fifty meters from the shore.

The coast is covered with snow-white sand, the entrance to the water is quite steep, the depth begins almost immediately, so this is the only reason why it is not recommended to rest with children here.

Klong Prao (Koh Chang Island)

Describing the beautiful beaches of Thailand, one can not help but mention the central and longest of them - Klong Prao, located on the island of Koh Chang. The purest azure sea, soft white sand, the palms bent to the sea. There is no asphalt road, so you can forget about civilization and fully enjoy the magnificent nature.

The coast of Klong Prao stretches for several kilometers. To the north of it is Chait Chet beach, no less attractive for tourists, separated from Klong Prao by a small river, about 20 meters wide. In the south comfortable hotels (for example, "Amari") are built.

Both beaches feature a gently sloping entrance to the water. There are quite often ebbs, during which the water leaves more than a hundred meters.

Lamai

As we have already mentioned, the best (in our opinion) beaches of Thailand are on the islands. For example, on the island of Koh Samui you can have a great time on the beach of Lamai. Its length is several kilometers. Here, organically combined infrastructure is developed, picturesque landscapes and deserted people. There are areas where people are very few, probably because they are not well equipped, but there are well-equipped areas with sun umbrellas, sunbeds, masseurs services right on the coast and a variety of water activities.

The coast is wide, covered with snow-white sand. Quite suitable for a family holiday. We do not recommend coming here in autumn, when the long rainy season begins on Samui.

Long Beach

The beaches of Thailand (photo you can see in our article) have a complete relaxation and rest, not only in body, but also in soul. On Long Beach, there is no usual noisy nightlife for the resorts, several hotels are on the first line. The beach is sandy, the sea is clean. Rest here attracts tranquility and privacy. From May to October-November, there are usually huge waves.

Nang Tong

The beaches of Thailand quite often attract people who want to relax from the city bustle and noise, to get away from popular hiking trails. The length of Nang Tong is several kilometers. For "wild" recreation (without hotels), the northern part is best suited. If you want to rest more comfortably, we recommend you to go to the southern or central parts.

The beach is sandy. Some areas are directly covered with green grass behind the sand. The entrance to the water is quite steep. During the period from May to October, there are usually very high waves on the beach of Nang Tong, which make swimming difficult, so it is advisable to visit this resort from November to the end of April.

Kaw Kwang and Klong Dao (Lanta)

The beaches of Thailand quite often resemble a colorful picture from an advertising booklet. This fully applies to the beach Kaw Kwang, located in the west of Lanta. In the morning, tourists wake up to the sound of the surf, around the forest, there are no cars, no motorcycles, no noisy bars, local residents offering to buy something. Only two bungalow-style hotels with a restaurant. The purest sea, the gentle sun, picturesque greenery, clean sea air and an almost empty beach - what else can a tired inhabitant of a megacity want?

If suddenly you want to have some fun, walk 30 minutes along the coast, and you will find yourself at Klong Dao. This is undoubtedly the best and most visited beach of Lanta. Here the infrastructure is perfectly developed - hotels and restaurants, bars and travel agencies, massage parlors. There are branches of banks here, of course, ATMs, motorbike rental, shops.

Had Rin Nok (Phangan)

Many beaches of Thailand have received worldwide fame. An example of this is a place located on Pangan, in the south of the island. This beach is famous for the Full Moon Party. It takes place monthly. If you like hangouts, then you will not find a better place.

On the coast there are about ten bars, equipped with modern sound systems. Here, music sounds the night away. The rest of the time, when there are no parties, this beach is suitable for a traditional beach holiday. The magnificent sandy coast stretches for almost a kilometer. The beach is clean and wide, well equipped and well maintained.

Kata (Phuket)

And this is one of the most famous beaches of the island of Phuket, stretching more than a kilometer. The coastline is quite wide. Here, children can play near the water. I must say that this beach, like no other, is suitable for a quiet family holiday. The entrance to the water is very smooth - the first ten meters the water hardly reaches the knee. Children with pleasure splash in shallow water, and parents do not have to worry about them.

Almost on the whole coast (except for northern areas) there are sun loungers and umbrellas. On Katya there are no pronounced ebbs and tides, but from the second half of May to October, there are quite high waves and activated undercurrents. Therefore, at this time it is better to choose another beach in Thailand.

Unfortunately, we did not tell you about all the beautiful places in Thailand, but if you remember, we did not set such a goal before ourselves. We just tried to convey to our readers how varied the choice of the magnificent beaches located in this country.

Beaches of Thailand: reviews

All who have already been lucky enough to rest in Thailand, believe that this is the best place on Earth. Picturesque nature, clean sea, the opportunity to choose a beach that will answer all your requirements for a perfect holiday. Many note the surprisingly warm, friendly attitude of the local population to the guests. In addition, there is an opportunity to settle in both luxurious apartments and in a rather modest bungalow.
