The fact that the people were treated with respect to him is told by the facts. For example, when concluding a treaty, the prince swore by the name of Perun. In this way, he acknowledged that misfortunes and misfortunes would overtake his people if he broke the word. People wanted the enemy: "Grab you with Perun." This meant that terrible strains were sent to the whole family. There were traditions to cut out the god figure from a tree and put it near the settlement. He protected people from the enemy and the beast. He was given holidays, brought gifts. But not material was the basis of communication with Perun, but spiritual. That is, not with gold, they gave this god, but with their love and respect. For this "thunderbolt" thanked his people with generous harvests and prosperity.
