Sugar in the Blood of Women

The health of any person directly depends on the level of blood sugar. It seems that not very strong changes in the general condition can serve as the first symptoms of a serious disease - diabetes. It can cause blindness, disturbances in the work of the liver, cardiovascular system, kidneys. Lowered immunity and lowering the threshold of blood coagulation, even rotting of small wounds often lead to people suffering from limb losses due to the smallest wounds. Also, diabetes "opens the door" to strokes and heart attacks.

In cases when the norm of the blood sugar in the individual is not observed, but is below a certain level, a person feels weak, dizzy, experiencing severe hunger, drowsiness, irritation. This condition is called hypoglycemia. Rid yourself of unpleasant sensations can be fractional, frequent meals, the rejection of bad habits, including the use of coffee, and a decrease in the consumption of foods rich in carbohydrates.

But fish, lean meat (especially the liver), buckwheat, vegetable oils and seeds should be eaten without fear. Yes, and other foods rich in omega-3-acids, will be of great benefit to the body.

Hyperglycemia begins to make itself felt by the fact that there is weakness and dizziness, itchy mucous, mostly skin covers on the genitals and between the buttocks, but sometimes the calves of the legs, the skin of the abdomen and upper back. The person constantly wants to drink, but the liquid does not reduce dryness in the mouth. Due to high fluid intake, frequent urination occurs. Furunculosis also sometimes appears from elevated blood sugar.

By itself in this case, the question is raised: how much is the sugar in the blood? The fact is that there are a lot of tests for the level of sugar. It can be blood from a vein, from a finger, with or without a load, and also an analysis for glycated hemoglobin. Although there are lists of symptoms on which it is possible to determine the first disturbances in the endocrine system, it is noted, however, that in diabetes mellitus of the so-called 2nd type, they practically can be absent. That's why doctors are advised to conduct analyzes almost to all people once for 3 years.

What is the difference between the norms of sugar in women and men? In the normal state, endocrinologists practically do not distinguish among patients on the basis of gender. However, the norm of sugar in the blood of women "in an interesting position" may differ from the norms in other periods of life. The changed state of the body during pregnancy, as it were, gives a slight correction in this analysis, pushing the bar toward increasing the permissible barrier. But even in this period, you should be very careful about this indicator.

So, what is the norm of sugar in the blood of women during normal periods of life? If we talk about the analysis of blood taken on an empty stomach, then regardless of age, the figures should not be lower than 3, 3 mmol / l and not exceed 5.5 mmol / l. Although these figures are recognized relatively recently. 20 years ago, the upper barrier was 4.7 mmol / l. Probably, due to the fact that the number of patients with diabetes mellitus has increased in recent years, it was decided to change the upper barrier of the norm.

However, every female representative should know about this. And if she has a blood sugar level, say, 5 mmol / l, she should already be worried. After all, despite the fact that, according to the generally accepted scale, this figure is not considered a sign of diabetes, but the norm of sugar in the blood of women   In fact it should be lower. This does not mean that you should immediately ask your doctor to prescribe special medications for you. You just need to take this into account and most reduce the consumption of foods containing carbohydrates, organize 6-7 one-time fractional meals.

Exercise is of great help in the fight against increased sugar, because they significantly lower the blood sugar level. It should be remembered that age also affects the indicators. But this does not mean that if a woman is over 50, then at the same time she has increased the sugar in the blood. At women and for 60 there is a sugar in norm or rate, this indicator depends on different factors.
