Due to such advantages, baking from Ossetia has become one of the modern types of fast food. However, the Ossetians themselves are not delighted with such popularity of their culinary heritage: for them this food has a long ritual character, and many cultural organizations of Ossetia advocate assigning Ossetian pies the status of "specialty" of the region and include them in the list of intangible heritage sites of UNESCO . This will preserve the recipe and ritual value of Ossetian pies intact and will not allow selling products that are different from traditional recipes under this name.
