Snowman's costume with his own hands

What suit to choose a child for New Year's party? Most girls dress up with snowflakes, the analogue for the boy will be a snowman costume, because snowflakes and snowmen reflect the very essence of winter entertainment.

Children's costume of a snowman is easy to make, you just have to be patient and with the necessary materials.

Traditionally, a snowman is a figure of two or three snowballs of different sizes. How to make such balls for a suit? This will help wire and white fabric. Wire must be taken hard, so that the finished product retains its shape and does not crumple.

The first "ball" will be located from the neck of the child to about the level of the navel. We make two rings from the wire, the diameter of the top should be a couple of centimeters more than the girth of the head, the second - so that the child can climb into the suit. Between the two rings we fasten the pieces of wire, slightly bent along the arc, all such stiffeners should be 10-12. The whole construction is best collected immediately on the child, so you do not have to redo it and, of course, two adults will cope with the task better than one.

The second ball will begin around the navel of the child, and end up above the knees by five centimeters, otherwise the snowman costume will interfere with free movement. The diameter of the upper ring will be the same as that of the lower ring of the first ball to fasten the parts of the suit to each other. For shaping we use a little more stiffeners, approximately 15-20 pieces of wire.

Now our "balls" need to be covered with a cloth. Naturally, it should be white, and it's good if the material is slightly shiny. From the fabric, we cut out two rectangles, the length of which is equal to the length of the circle of the balls in the widest place, and the width is measured along the length of the transverse arc-shaped wire. We add allowances to the seams, on the short side will be enough to add a centimeter and a half, but the bottom and top should be laid about six centimeters in order to make the kulisks. In the kulisks we put in an elastic band or braid and pull the fabric over the frame. Do not forget that in the top ball you need to make holes for the child's hands!

The snowman costume is not finished yet, it must be supplemented with a nose-carrot from orange paper and a cardboard pail on the head. White balls are decorated with buttons made of colored cardboard or New Year's tinsel. On the feet of the child you need to wear white tights or knee socks and white shoes. And what kind of snowman without a broom or a broom? Decorate this object with a thin tinsel.

If there is no desire to mess with the wire, then a simple pattern of the snowman's costume will help. In total, you need to choose suitable patterns for the size of the net patterns of panties and blouses with a zipper on the back and a collar-stoechkoy, the length is the same, but the width of the product increase. Make kulisks on cuffs of sleeves and pants, on the bottom of the blouse and on the belt of trousers and insert the elastic bands - so the suit will look airy. And for a snowman costume to be especially festive, you need to sew it from a shiny white satin.

We decorate the blouse with bubbles of tinsel, complement the suit with a bucket-hat, nose-carrot, broom. Now you can safely go on matinee!
