Setting up a Zyxel Keenetic router - nothing is easier!

This article describes the configuration of the ZyXEL Keenetic router (for example, the Giga model). This model has rich technical characteristics and flexible functionality, which allows it to "tailor" to virtually any need. The manufacturer himself is positioned as an Internet center. That says a lot!

Among the technical characteristics can be identified:

1. Connection to the Internet on a dedicated line.
2. Connection to the Internet via Wi-Fi.
3. Connection to the Internet using a 3G / 4G modem via USB.
4. Connect a flash drive and printer to a universal serial interface.

Setting up the ZyXEL Keenetic router should start with the equipment check. The "boxed" version of the product should include:

Usually the default is "admin", and the password is 1234, but, nevertheless, it is better to clarify in the manual. After entering, the corresponding system parameters window appears.

It is recommended to download the previously updated firmware from the site ZyXEL.ru and the first time to update the software part of the device. To do this, go to the menu that opens in the "System" and in the sub-item "Firmware". Then we specify the location of the updates and install them. Next, configure the system to connect to the WAN. Go to the "System", the section "Operating mode" and select the desired menu item (via dedicated line, modem or wireless network). Then configure the ZyXEL Keenetic router to be reduced to the configuration of the wireless network settings. Go to the menu item "IP" and select the automatic mode. In the future, go to the authorization menu and select the network mode (this data should be provided by the provider).

At the final stage, it is recommended to save ZyXEL Keenetic settings separately. If you accidentally or force a reset to the factory settings, you can quickly and easily restore the system.
