Actors, who played leading roles in the film, soon became one of the most recognizable, after all, many parodies were made on their heroes. So, what is remarkable about this project of Wes Craven?

Plot

Since the bloody drama in Woodsboro it took about two years, but Sidney Prescott (played by Neve Campbell) can not forget about the tragedy that befell her herself, as well as her friends and family. The girl became a student in another city, but she does not let go of the past either - her friend and the witness of the past events of Rendi is studying in this same college. Meanwhile, Gale Weathers published a bestseller about the grim story of a small town, and the filmmakers decided to film the work.

So, the screenshots of the horror film "Knife Strike", and it again turns into a nightmare for Sidney, her fellow students and the newly-born lover. At the premiere of the sensational hit, two lovers die, and now all attention is again focused on Prescott. In the town immediately announced Gail, as well as officer Dewey. The company is eager to figure out the killer, who has already started methodically destroying people in the district, without forgetting to call the victims in advance, as was the case in the first part of the tape.

Performers of roles

It is worth mentioning separately the acting team of the picture "Scream 2". Actors who starred in horror films are quite popular today, and many of them managed to make a good career in a big movie. First of all, this applies to Timothy Oliphant and Jerry O'Connell. By the way, the latter portrayed the beloved heroine Niv Campbell, a young medic Derek. There was also a hero in the horror, which was only mentioned in the first part, the narcissist Cotton, played by Liv Schreiber.

Of course, Neve Campbell remained the main star of the film "Scream 2". Courteney Cox and David Arquette, as well as in the first series, also played an important role in the story.

Many spectators were noted by the convincing game of Jada Pinkett Smith and Omar Epps - they were the first to encounter a maniac in the project "Scream 2". Jamie Kennedy, remembered by the audience on the original part, repeated his image quite convincingly, having received in the sequel much more screen time.

Secrecy

The creators of the project wanted to save the intrigue, so during the filming of the script was entrusted to read only the performers of key roles and direct management of the studio. In this case, the name of the murderer remained a secret, because the last pages of the script were missing. Nevertheless, even the existing text somehow got on the Internet, so Kevin Williamson rewrote a number of scenes already during the filming process.

The final ten pages of the script, in which there was a name for the maniac, were printed on special gray paper, which is protected from photocopying. The actors had to sign a special agreement on the non-disclosure of information about the plot and its ending. The first version of the script contained the names of three different killers. Subsequently, Wilmson admitted that he invented many details of the second part of the horror film while he was working on the first.

Interesting cameo

Particularly attentive spectators noticed several unusual cameos in the film "Scream 2". Actors depicting the audience at the cinema, at first glance, do not require special attention, but if you look closely, among them you can see Rose McGowan, who played Tatum Riley, the girlfriend of Sidney, in the previous series.

The journalist who interviews Cotton is the already mentioned screenwriter Kevin Williamson. In turn, director Wes Craven, depicted a doctor in the background in the clinic.

Shooting

Work on the filming was conducted from the middle of June to the end of August 1997 - production began already a month and a half after the premiere of the first episode of horror.

The bulk of the voices sounded in the project was recorded at the postproduction stage. Nevertheless, the voice of Roger Jackson, who voiced a maniac, probably for a long time to remember the participants of the picture "Scream 2" - the actors received calls from him directly during the filming of the necessary scenes. Wes Craven intended at such times to create a special tension. Jackson, as a rule, was in a place from which he remained invisible for the "potential victim".

Since the release of "Scream 2" almost two decades have passed. During this time, many exciting youth films were shot, but this story has not been forgotten by movie fans to this day and has become a classic of the genre.
