Preparations "Hilak" and "Hilak forte" - application in violation of intestinal microflora

"Hilak" and "Hilak forte" are transparent drops of yellowish color with an acidic smell. They contain the products of the life of bacteria, normally inhabiting the human gastrointestinal tract ("Hilak" - Lactobacillus helveticus, "Hilak forte", in addition - Escherichia coli, Lactobacillus acidofilus and Streptococcus faecalis). Lactic acid, potassium sorbate , etc. are used as auxiliary substances in the preparations.

Due to the use of antibiotics, irrational nutrition and surgical interventions, as well as stresses and unfavorable ecological conditions, the habitual intestinal microflora is disrupted - pathogenic bacteria begin to multiply in it. The result is digestive disorders (persistent constipation or diarrhea), a feeling of discomfort and heaviness in the intestines, increased gas production. It is in this situation that doctors often recommend the drugs "Hilak" or "Hilak forte" - their application in this case brings good results.

The intake of these drugs can normalize the acidity of the gastrointestinal tract, bringing its pH back to normal, and also contributes to the renewal of the habitual intestinal environment. Contained in the "Hilak" and "Hilak forte," the use of which has virtually no contraindications, the products of the exchange of non-pathogenic intestinal microbes contribute to the increase in the number of acidophilic bacteria. They effectively fight one of the most dangerous pathogens of intestinal infections - salmonella. The intake of these medicines also allows the normalization of the water-electrolyte balance, improving the absorption of fluid in the intestine. They are taken thrice a day during meals, diluted in water. Adults appoint 40-60 drops per reception. Medicines should not be washed down with milk.

"Hilak" ("Hilak forte"), the use of which is shown for various violations of digestion of food, has a number of prohibitions to use - for example, acute conditions, accompanied by strong sharp pains in the intestines with a rise in temperature, and sometimes, with blood in the stool. These symptoms may indicate the development of some dangerous diseases, as well as of intestinal infection. The patient should immediately seek medical help - in these cases, "Hilak" or "Hilak Fort", the use of which is usually quite effective, will not bring benefits. In addition, individual intolerance to these drugs is possible, for example, lactose in their composition. Patients with high acidity of the stomach should take these medications with caution and in a smaller dose - it will be determined by the doctor.

These drugs are often recommended for use and for young children who have problems with stool: taking drugs "Hilak" and "Hilak forte" with constipation allows to achieve regular emptying of the intestine (a dose for children up to two years is determined by the doctor individually). They do not pose any danger to the body of a pregnant woman and her fetus. During pregnancy and lactation, as well as children older than two years, usually appoint a single dose of 20-40 drops of drugs "Hilak" or "Hilak forte." Indications for the use of these agents are thus quite extensive, and the patient's condition improves rapidly. The course of treatment is at least 3 weeks.

It should be borne in mind that these drugs are undesirable to take simultaneously with antacids, which are prescribed for acidity, peptic ulcer and gastritis - Almagel, Rennie, Gastal and others. They can neutralize the lactic acid contained in the "Hilake".

It is necessary to store "Hilak" in a place inaccessible to children: if it is taken undiluted, it may cause regurgitation and, as a consequence, the onset of aspiration syndrome (asphyxiation). The child should be taken to hospital as soon as possible.
