Andrei Vladimirovich Bogdanov is a politician who headed the Democratic Party of Russia from 2005 to 2014. In 2007 he became a Mason, the Great Master of the Grand Lodge of the Russian Federation. He is a professional political technologist who has created many political parties. In 2008, he took the fourth place in the election of the head of the Russian Federation.

The politician himself said that not party members nominated him for this post, but an "initiative group of citizens". At the same time, Andrei Vladimirovich anticipated success before his nomination. Reports began to appear about the "seizure" of Prokhorov's opponents at the entire pre-election congress. In this connection, the head of the "Right Cause" was dissolved by the executive committee and expelled several opponents from the party. Among them was Bogdanov, who was the chairman of the credentials committee. The next day the congress of the "Right Cause" was held, but without Prokhorov's participation. He was removed from the leadership, and the duties of the leader were entrusted to Andrei Dunayev. Also, the congress decided not to rule out Bogdanov. Andrei Vladimirovich said that he would retain his membership in the "Right Cause," but he would not work in any leading positions.

In October 2011, the CEC approved the list of candidates for the State Duma elections from the party Just Cause. Bogdanov was on the second line. On the first was Dunaev, and on the third - the sportswoman Anna Chakvetadze. According to the results of the parliamentary elections, the party gained just 0.6% of the vote and did not get into the lower house.

Revival of the DPR

On February 12, a congress was held in the capital, where Bogdanova was elected its leader. In April, President Medvedev signed a law, according to which, in each party there should be a minimum of five hundred people. In early 2008, the CEC released information on the incomes and property of the politician, as well as his wife. Over the previous four years, he received a salary in the parties of the DPR, "United Russia" and the "All-Russian Committee." For all this period, the politician has earned almost half a million rubles. And his wife's salary for the same period was 72,500 rubles. It was reported that the Bogdanovs owned in Moscow two apartments (188 and 39 square meters), as well as a house in the area (187 square meters). Also, the wife of Andrei Vladimirovich owns a garage and three cars: "Audi Ku7" (2006), "Peugeot 306" (1998) and "Nissan Theana" (2006).

At the end of 2011, the CEC provided data on the assets and incomes of candidates to the State Duma (the sixth convocation).
