'Pimafucin' cream - a remedy for mycoses

"Pimafucin" cream is an antifungal drug of local action. In its composition, the active ingredient is natamycin, which is a macrolide antibiotic of the polyene series. "Pimafucin" cream has a wide range of antimicrobial activity. This drug acts fungicidal: the death of microorganisms is caused by blocking the synthesis of sterols, which form the basis of the cell wall of the fungi. Candida fungi are highly sensitive to this drug. Somewhat less sensitivity is noted for dermatophytes.
