Pavel Ryzhenko: the cause of death. Artist Pavel Ryzhenko: Biography

July 16, 2014 the Russian world suffered an irreparable loss - in the forty-fourth year of life one of the greatest creators of the 20th century, painter Pavel Ryzhenko, whose cause of death is a stroke, died in the twentieth century, is the predominant one among young talented people.

Pavel Ryzhenko is a brilliant creator of historical composition

On the expanses of Europe in the modern world it is very difficult to find a talented artist working in the style of classical realism. The character of such a creator should be revealed to fit the epoch - contradictory in its revolutionary striving for development and simultaneous passive inaction. It is because of this sinful inaction, which carries a contented despondency, and the genius of Russian realism grew - Pavel Ryzhenko, whose paintings are written exclusively in this classic style.

The artist lived a short but extremely fruitful life, showing himself an icon of the God-chosen creator and a model of imitation for artists of realistic traditions. The death of Pavel Ryzhenko marked the final transition of contemporary art from the channel of realism to the framework of avant-gardism, the departure of the classical canons of construction and color arrangement of the composition from the field of fine art into the expressive swimming of the futuristic shortness of the idea and the straightforwardness of the composite image.

Biographical note

Pavel Ryzhenko, whose biography does not differ from several hundred similar biographies of artists, anticipating the interest of fans to this topic, left a few notes about his past.

The future artist was born in 1970, in the city of Kaluga. In his autobiographical texts, Pavel Ryzhenko, foreseeing how much his fans would be interested in his biography, recalled that his childhood was wholly and completely filled with joy from communication with his grandmother and mother. The creative path was started by Pavel Viktorovich not by accident - from the earliest years he had a liveliness of mind and an excellent memory: "This is for me the Homeland, bright, quiet, full of love, which many have forgotten, and many - no."

Since 1988, Pavel is a graduate of the Moscow Secondary Art School at the Surikov Institute. He went to the army, where, he said, he already clearly understood his vocation in painting. After her, since 1990, he studied at the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, where his teacher was a professor, People's Artist of Russia IS Glazunov.

Pedagogical activity of Pavel Ryzhenko

Since 1997, after defending his thesis in 1996, Pavel Ryzhenko began active pedagogical activity at the Department of Architecture, and then restoration and even later - compositions of his native academy. There he taught until his death. Pavel Ryzhenko is an artist whose cause of death was the result of fruitful creative activity.

Features of the spiritual filling of the composition

Pavel Viktorovich Ryzhenko was instantly glorified as a genius of the all-Russian scale after defending his thesis work - the canvas "Kalka", where the semantic center of the composition is the figure of Prince Mstislav the Old who stands proudly opposite the rest after the battle of the Mongolian governor. Pavel Ryzhenko, whose paintings are bound up with this unbending, honest, but simple and humble character, showed the features of the Russian people as well as possible.

The artist is a preacher of the divine idea

About the spiritual and practical searches the artist always told very openly. To rise on the thanksgiving path of an Orthodox artist who immerses his viewer's art in a beautiful world with a God-inspired land and the Russian nation as a whole, he said, it was he who helped to train at the academy and get acquainted with the priests. He idolized the Orthodox national idea and involuntarily became its mouthpiece, blagovest. "Oslyabya", "Blessing of Sergius", "Peresvet's Victory", "Prayer of Peresvet" - in all these images with their unshakable calmness and discretion invisibly there is the appearance of a holy man, not at all like a canonical icon-painting image. Paul himself explained this feature of his images in that he considers the classical Orthodox icon painting to be a monstrous hybrid of Eastern and Byzantine painting, with their European standards and manner of writing, and not the original Russian cult painting.

Pavel Ryzhenko cooperated a lot with monasteries and high priests, writing religious paintings and portraits for them. His last work is the diorama "Standing on the Ugra". The customer was the Kaluga Holy Tikhon Desert. Unfortunately, Pavel Ryzhenko, an artist whose cause of death caused the Russian world to shudder with suddenness, could not attend its opening.

Pavel Ryzhenko and his paintings in the historical genre of painting

Throughout his life, with all his heart and mind, radiating his son's love for his homeland and filling with this love every stroke and every brushstroke in his canvases, Pavel Ryzhenko completely "saturated" his paintings with an unprecedented power of greatness. It was the greatness of the Russian Spirit, imprisoned in the images of the hero of Peresvet, in the majestic but subdued posture of Emperor Nicholas II, the monumental tragic grandeur of the battles of the past and the sunlight of the monastic apiaries.

As a master of battle scenes, whose composition and color scheme was imbued with the idea of a divine battle with the Darkness, the artist took an active part in military-patriotic actions in Russia. He was a member of the MB Grekov Studio of Military Artists as one of the leading painters, and the first published information that Pavel Ryzhenko died died, the cause of death, published several days later, was reported to the press by the Department of Culture of the Ministry of Defense .

During the political coup in the spring of 2014 in Ukraine, Pavel Ryzhenko repeatedly expressed his support for the emerging states of Novorossia. In addition, in the process of writing his canvas "Stojhod" the artist continuously consulted Igor Ivanovich Strelkov about the form of Russian officers and became very friendly with him, even having recorded that on the canvas in the main triangle of the composition. Learning that Pavel Ryzhenko, whose cause of death directly depended on enormous mental activity, died, Strelkov wrote: "I'm sorry. Bright man was. When he consulted him, he already complained that his arms were numb. "

People's artist

Pavel Ryzhenko sincerely believed in an enlightened, morally clean and spiritually rich Russia, wholeheartedly supported the formation of Novorossia and the political arrangement of it in the mainstream of the Russian state, while always remaining a monarchist. A huge number of his paintings, created since the early 1990's, is dedicated to the Kulikovo Battle, the era of Nicholas II, and the First World War. In his workshop there were six ready dioramas, which were periodically put forward for exhibitions.

Farewell to descendants

When Pavel Ryzhenko died, the cause of death was not immediately announced. Only a few days later it became known that due to intense professional activity, he had a stroke.

The artist was buried at the Zhdamirovsky deposit in the village of Kaluga.

During his lifetime, he was a very progressive-oriented person, an adherent of Orthodox thought as a historically changing filling of human existence, whose essence can be perfectly reflected in the principles of classical pictorial realism.
